ஒரு கன்றாவது செம்மறியாட்டுக்குட்டியாவது வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியாவது பிறந்தால், அது ஏழுநாள் தன் தாயினிடத்தில் இருக்கக்கடவது; எட்டாம் நாள்முதல் அது கர்த்தருக்குத் தகனபலியாக அங்கிகரிக்கப்படும்.

ஒரு கன்று, செம்மறி, அல்லது வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டி பிறந்தால், ஏழு நாளளவும் தன் தாயிடம் அது இருக்கட்டும். எட்டாம் நாளிலிருந்து அது ஆண்டவருக்குரிய எரிபலியாகச் செலுத்தப்படும். இது விரும்பத்தக்கது.
