ஆதியாகமம் 19:29
தேவன் அந்தச் சம பூமியின் பட்டணங்களை அழிக்கும்போது, தேவன் ஆபிரகாமை நினைத்து, லோத்து குடியிருந்த பட்டணங்களைத் தாம் கவிழ்த்துப் போடுகையில், லோத்தை அந்த அழிவின் நடுவிலிருந்து தப்பிப்போகும்படி அனுப்பி விட்டார்.

தேவன் அந்தச் சமபூமியின் பட்டணங்களை அழிக்கும்போது, தேவன் ஆபிரகாமை நினைத்து, லோத்து குடியிருந்த பட்டணங்களைத் தாம் கவிழ்த்துப்போடும்போது, லோத்தை அந்த அழிவிலிருந்து தப்பிச்செல்லும்படி அனுப்பிவிட்டார்.

தேவன் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் உள்ள நகரங்களை அழித்துவிட்டார். அப்போது அவர் ஆபிரகாமை நினைத்து, ஆபிரகாமின் உறவினனான லோத்தை அழிக்காமல் விட்டார். பள்ளத்தாக்கில் இருக்கும் நகரங்களுக்குள் லோத்து வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்த அவ்விடங்களை அழிக்கும் முன்பு லோத்தை தேவன் வெளியேற்றினார்.

கடவுள் சமவெளி நகர்களை அழித்தபோது, ஆபிரகாமை நினைவு கூர்ந்தார். எனவே, லோத்து குடியிருந்த நகர்களை அழித்தபோது கடவுள் அவரைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.

when God אֱלֹהִים֙ ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
אֶת ʾēt ate
the cities עָרֵ֣י ʿîr eer
of the plain, הַכִּכָּ֔ר kikkār kee-KAHR
remembered וַיִּזְכֹּ֥ר zākar za-HAHR
that God אֱלֹהִ֖ים ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
אֶת ʾēt ate
Abraham, אַבְרָהָ֑ם ʾabrāhām av-ra-HAHM
and sent וַיְשַׁלַּ֤ח šālaḥ sha-LAHK

Lot לוֹט֙ lôṭ lote
out of the midst מִתּ֣וֹךְ tāwek ta-VEK
