Psalm 1:1
ଜଣେ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ, ୟଦି ସେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଉପଦେଶ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଜୀବନ ୟାପନ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ କି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦଖାେନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତା'ର ସମୟ କଟାଏ ନାହିଁ,

| of the ungodly, | רְשָׁ֫עִ֥ים | rĕšāʿîm | reh-SHA-EEM |
| nor | וּבְדֶ֣רֶךְ | ûbĕderek | oo-veh-DEH-rek |
| standeth | חַ֭טָּאִים | ḥaṭṭāʾîm | HA-ta-eem |
| in the way | לֹ֥א | lōʾ | loh |
| of sinners, | עָמָ֑ד | ʿāmād | ah-MAHD |
| nor | וּבְמוֹשַׁ֥ב | ûbĕmôšab | oo-veh-moh-SHAHV |
| sitteth | לֵ֝צִ֗ים | lēṣîm | LAY-TSEEM |
| in the seat | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
