മുമ്പെ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരോടു ചേർന്നു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവരോടുകൂടെ പാളയത്തിൽവന്നിരുന്ന എബ്രായരും ശൌലിനോടും യോനാഥാനോടും കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ പക്ഷം തിരിഞ്ഞു.
