যাজক আর যাদুকররা বলল, “যদি তোমরা ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র সিন্দুক ফিরিযে দাও তাহলে কখনও তা খালি পাঠাবে না| অবশ্যই তোমরা নৈবেদ্য সাজিযে দেবে| তাহলেই ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর তোমাদের পাপ মুক্ত করবেন| তোমরা সুস্থ হবে| যা বললাম তাই করো, তাহলে ঈশ্বর তোমাদের আর শাস্তি দেবেন না|”

প্রথম ছুটির দিনটি হবে খামিরবিহীন রুটির উত্সব| আমার নির্দেশ মতো তা পালন করা হবে| এই সময় তোমরা য়ে রুটি খাবে তা হবে খামিরবিহীন| সাত দিন এই ভাবে চলবে| তোমরা এই নির্দেশ পালন করবে আবীব মাসে| কারণ এই সময়ই তোমরা মিশর থেকে ফিরে এসেছিলে| এই আবীব মাসে তোমরা প্রত্যেকে আমাকে উত্সর্গ করার জন্য কিছু না কিছু নিয়ে আসবে|

দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ 16:16
“প্রভু, তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, য়ে স্থান পছন্দ করবেন সেই বিশেষ স্থানে তাঁর সঙ্গে সাক্ষাতে বছরে তিনবার তোমাদের পুরুষরা অবশ্যই আসবে| খামিরবিহীন রুটির তৈরীর উত্সব এবং কুটির উত্সবের জন্যও তারা আসবে| প্রভুর সঙ্গে সাক্ষাতের জন্য আসা প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি অবশ্যই উপহার নিয়ে আসবে, খালি হাতে আসবে না|

সামুয়েল ১ 6:9
গাড়ীটার দিকে লক্ষ্য রাখবে| যদি সেটা ইস্রায়েলের বৈত্‌-শেমশের দিকে যায় তাহলেই বুঝবে প্রভু আমাদের এই ভযানক রোগ দিয়েছেন| আর যদি সোজাসুজি বৈত্‌-শেমশের দিকে না যায় তবে জানবে যে ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর আমাদের শাস্তি দেন নি| তাহলে আমরা জানব আমাদের এমন রোগ এমনিই হয়েছে|”

লেবীয় পুস্তক 6:6
“ঐ মানুষটি অবশ্যই ইস্রায়েলেজকের কাছে দোষার্থক বলি নিয়ে আসবে| তা অবশ্যই হবে মেষের দল থেকে আনা একটা পুরুষ মেষ| সেই পুরুষ মেষের মধ্যে যেন কোন খুঁত না থাকে| যাজক ইস্রায়েলে বলবে এর দাম হবে তাই| এটা হবে প্রভুর কাছে প্রদত্ত এক দোষার্থক বলি|

এইসব দেখে অস্দোদের লোকরা বলাবলি করল, “ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র সিন্দুক এখানে যেন না থাকে, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর আমাদের আর দেবতা দাগোনকে শাস্তি দিচ্ছেন|”

তোমরা যদি গাধার প্রথমজাত পুরুষশাবককে রাখতে চাও, তবে তোমরা একটি মেষশাবকের বিনিময়ে তা রাখতে পারো| কিন্তু তোমরা যদি ঐ গাধার শাবকটিকে একটি মেষের বিনিময়ে না কেনো তাহলে তোমাদের ঐ গাধার ঘাড় মটকাতে হবে| তোমাদের সমস্ত প্রথমজাত পুত্র সন্তানদের আমার কাছে থেকে ফেরত্‌ নিতে হবে| কিন্তু কোনও লোকই উপহার ছাড়া আমার কাছে আসবে না|

সামুয়েল ১ 5:11
ইক্রোণের লোকরা পলেষ্টীয় শাসকদের ডেকে বলল, “ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের সিন্দুক যেখানে ছিল সেখানেই পাঠিয়ে দাও| এই সিন্দুক আমাদের এবং আমাদের লোকদের মেরে ফেলার আগেই কাজটা করে ফেল|”সারা শহরের যেখানেই ঈশ্বরের হাতের আঘাত পড়েছিল সেখানে ভয়ঙ্কর শাস্তি হয়েছিল|

যোব 10:2
আমি ঈশ্বরকে বলবো: ‘আমায় দোষ দেবেন না! আমায় বলুন, আমি কি ভুল করেছি? আমার বিরুদ্ধে আপনার কি কোন অভিয়োগ আছে?

যোব 34:31
ইয়োব, আপনার ঈশ্বরকে বলা উচিত্‌, ‘আমি অপরাধী| আমি আর কোন পাপ করবো না|

সামুয়েল ১ 5:9
কিন্তু তারা ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র সিন্দুক গাতে নিয়ে যাবার পর প্রভু সেখানকার শহরের লোকদের শাস্তি দিলেন| তারা বেশ ভয় পেয়ে গেল| তারা বিপদে পড়ল| বালক বৃদ্ধ সকলের গায়েই টিউমার বা অর্বুদ দেখা গেল|

লেবীয় পুস্তক 5:6
সে অবশ্যই তার কৃত দোষের জন্য প্রভুর কাছে আসবে| সে অবশ্যই একটা স্ত্রী মেষশাবক বা স্ত্রী ছাগল পাপমোচনের নৈবেদ্য হিসেবে আনবে| তারপর যাজক সেই মানুষটির কৃত পাপকর্ম থেকে তাকে মুক্ত করার জন্য ইস্রায়েলে কিছু করার করবে|

“কোন মানুষ আকস্মিকভাবে প্রভুর পবিত্র জিনিস অপবিত্র করতে পারে| সেক্ষেত্রে সেই লোকটি তখন কোন খুঁত নেই এমন একটি পুরুষ মেষ অবশ্যই আনবে| এটাই হবে প্রভুর প্রতি দোষের জন্য দেওয়া নৈবেদ্য| তুমি অবশ্যই পবিত্র স্থানের মাপ কাঠি ব্যবহার করবে এবং পুরুষ মেষটির একটি মূল্য ঠিক করবে|
