1 "Can you draw out Leviathan{Leviathan is a name for a crocodile or similar creature.} with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord?నీవు మకరమును గాలముతో బయటికి లాగగలవా?...దాని నాలుకకు త్రాడువేసి లాగగలవా?

2 Can you put a rope into his nose? Or pierce his jaw through with a hook?నీవు దాని ముక్కుగుండ సూత్రము వేయగలవా? దాని దవడకు గాలము ఎక్కింపగలవా?

3 Will he make many petitions to you? Or will he speak soft words to you?అది నీతో విన్నపములు చేయునా? మృదువైన మాటలు నీతో పలుకునా?

4 Will he make a covenant with you, That you should take him for a servant forever?నీవు శాశ్వతముగా దానిని దాసునిగా చేసికొనునట్లు అది నీతో నిబంధనచేయునా?

5 Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him for your girls?నీవు ఒక పిట్టతో ఆటలాడునట్లు దానితో ఆట లాడెదవా? నీ కన్యకలు ఆడుకొనుటకై దాని కట్టివేసెదవా?

6 Will traders barter for him? Will they part him among the merchants?బెస్తవారు దానితో వ్యాపారము చేయుదురా? వారు దానిని తునకలు చేసి వర్తకులతో వ్యాపారము చేయుదురా?

7 Can you fill his skin with barbed irons, Or his head with fish-spears?దాని ఒంటినిండ ఇనుప శూలములు గుచ్చగలవా? దాని తలనిండ చేప అలుగులు గుచ్చగలవా?

8 Lay your hand on him. Remember the battle, and do so no more.దానిమీద నీ చెయ్యి వేసి చూడుము దానితో కలుగు పోరు నీవు జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనిన యెడల నీవు మరల ఆలాగున చేయకుందువు.

9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain. Will not one be cast down even at the sight of him?దాని చూచినప్పుడు మనుష్యులు దానిని వశపరచు కొందుమన్న ఆశ విడిచెదరు దాని పొడ చూచిన మాత్రముచేతనే యెవరికైనను గుండెలు అవిసిపోవును గదా.

10 None is so fierce that he dare stir him up. Who then is he who can stand before me?దాని రేపుటకైనను తెగింపగల శూరుడు లేడు. అట్లుండగా నా యెదుట నిలువగలవాడెవడు?

11 Who has first given to me, that I should repay him? Everything under the heavens is mine.నేను తిరిగి ఇయ్యవలసి యుండునట్లు నాకెవడైనను ఏమైనను ఇచ్చెనా? ఆకాశవైశాల్యమంతటి క్రింద నున్నదంతయు నాదే గదా

12 "I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, Nor his mighty strength, nor his goodly frame.దాని అవయవములను గూర్చియైనను దాని మహాబల మునుగూర్చియైనను దాని చక్కని తీరునుగూర్చి యైనను పలుకక మౌనముగా నుండను.

13 Who can strip off his outer garment? Who shall come within his jaws?ఎవడైన దాని పై కవచమును లాగివేయగలడా? దాని రెండు దవడల నడిమికి ఎవడైన రాగలడా?

14 Who can open the doors of his face? Around his teeth is terror.దాని ముఖద్వారములను తెరవగలవాడెవడు? దాని పళ్లచుట్టు భయకంపములు కలవు

15 Strong scales are his pride, Shut up together with a close seal.దాని గట్టిపొలుసులు దానికి అతిశయాస్పదము ఎవరును తీయలేని ముద్రచేత అవి సంతనచేయబడి యున్నవి.

16 One is so near to another, That no air can come between them.అవి ఒకదానితో ఒకటి హత్తుకొని యున్నవి. వాటి మధ్యకు గాలి యేమాత్రమును జొరనేరదు.

17 They are joined one to another; They stick together, so that they can't be pulled apart.ఒకదానితో ఒకటి అతకబడి యున్నవి భేదింప శక్యము కాకుండ అవి యొకదానితో నొకటి కలిసికొని యున్నవి.

18 His sneezing flashes forth light, His eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.అది తుమ్మగా వెలుగు ప్రకాశించును దాని కన్నులు ఉదయకాలపు కనురెప్పలవలె నున్నవి

19 Out of his mouth go burning torches, Sparks of fire leap forth.దాని నోటనుండి జ్వాలలు బయలుదేరును అగ్ని కణములు దానినుండి లేచును.

20 Out of his nostrils a smoke goes, As of a boiling pot over a fire of reeds.ఉడుకుచున్న కాగులోనుండి, జమ్ముమంటమీద కాగు చున్న బానలోనుండి పొగ లేచునట్లు దాని నాసికారంధ్రములలోనుండి లేచును.

21 His breath kindles coals. A flame goes forth from his mouth.దాని ఊపిరి నిప్పులను రాజబెట్టును దాని నోటనుండి జ్వాలలు బయలుదేరును

22 In his neck there is strength. Terror dances before him.దాని మెడ బలమునకు స్థానము భయము దానియెదుట తాండవమాడుచుండును

23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together. They are firm on him. They can't be moved.దాని ప్రక్కలమీద మాంసము దళముగా ఉన్నది అది దాని ఒంటిని గట్టిగా అంటియున్నది అది ఊడి రాదు.

24 His heart is as firm as a stone, Yes, firm as the lower millstone.దాని గుండె రాతివలె గట్టిగా నున్నది అది తిరుగటి క్రింది దిమ్మంత కఠినము.

25 When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid. They retreat before his thrashing.అది లేచునప్పుడు బలిష్ఠులు భయపడుదురు అధిక భయముచేత వారు మైమరతురు.

26 If one lay at him with the sword, it can't avail; Nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft.దాని చంపుటకై ఒకడు ఖడ్గము దూయుట వ్యర్థమే ఈటెలైనను బాణములైనను పంట్రకోలలైనను అక్క రకు రావు.

27 He counts iron as straw; And brass as rotten wood.ఇది ఇనుమును గడ్డిపోచగాను ఇత్తడిని పుచ్చిపోయిన కఱ్ఱగాను ఎంచును.

28 The arrow can't make him flee. Sling stones are like chaff to him.బాణము దానిని పారదోలజాలదు వడిసెల రాళ్లు దాని దృష్టికి చెత్తవలె ఉన్నవి.

29 Clubs are counted as stubble. He laughs at the rushing of the javelin.దుడ్డుకఱ్ఱలు గడ్డిపరకలుగా ఎంచబడును అది వడిగా పోవుచుండు ఈటెను చూచి నవ్వును.

30 His undersides are like sharp potsherds, Leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge.దాని క్రిందిభాగములుకరుకైనచిల్లపెంకులవలె ఉన్నవి. అది బురదమీద నురిపిడికొయ్యవంటి తన దేహమును పరచుకొనును.

31 He makes the deep to boil like a pot. He makes the sea like a pot of ointment.కాగు మసలునట్లు మహాసముద్రమును అది పొంగ జేయునుసముద్రమును తైలమువలె చేయును.

32 He makes a path to shine after him. One would think the deep had white hair.అది తాను నడచిన త్రోవను తన వెనుక ప్రకాశింప జేయును చూచినవారికి సముద్రము నెరసిన వెండ్రుకలుగా తోచును.

33 On earth there is not his equal, That is made without fear.అది భయములేనిదిగా సృజింపబడినది భూమిమీద దానివంటిదేదియు లేదు.

34 He sees everything that is high: He is king over all the sons of pride."అది గొప్పవాటినన్నిటిని తిరస్కరించును గర్వించిన జంతువులన్నిటికి అది రాజు.
