மத்தேயு 26:58
பேதுரு, தூரத்திலே அவருக்குப் பின்சென்று, பிரதான ஆசாரியனுடைய அரமனைவரைக்கும் வந்து, உள்ளே பிரவேசித்து, முடிவைப்பார்க்கும்படி சேவகரோடே உட்கார்ந்தான்.

பேதுரு, தூரத்திலே அவருக்குப் பின்னேசென்று, பிரதான ஆசாரியனுடைய அரண்மனை வரைக்கும் வந்து, உள்ளே நுழைந்து, முடிவைப் பார்க்கும்படி காவலாளிகளோடு உட்கார்ந்தான்.

இயேசுவைத் தொடர்ந்து வந்த பேதுரு அவர் அருகில் செல்லவில்லை. பேதுரு இயேசுவைத் தொடர்ந்து தலைமை ஆசாரியனின் வீட்டு முற்றத்தை அடைந்தான். இயேசுவுக்கு என்ன நடக்கும் என்பதைக் காண பேதுரு உள்ளே நுழைந்து காவல்காரர்களுடன் அமர்ந்தான்.
