ஏறக்குறைய மூன்றுமாதம் சென்றபின்பு உன் மருமகளாகிய தாமார் வேசித்தனம்பண்ணினாள், அந்த வேசித்தனத்தினால் கர்ப்பவதியுமானாள் என்று யூதாவுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. அப்பொழுது யூதா: அவளை வெளியே கொண்டுவாருங்கள், அவள் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படவேண்டும் என்றான்.

ஏறக்குறைய மூன்றுமாதம் சென்றபின்பு உன் மருமகளாகிய தாமார் வேசித்தனம்செய்தாள், அந்த வேசித்தனத்தினால் கர்ப்பவதியுமானாள் என்று யூதாவுக்கு தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. அப்பொழுது யூதா: அவளை வெளியே கொண்டுவாருங்கள், அவள் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படவேண்டும் என்றான்.

மூன்று மாதங்கள் ஆனதும் சிலர் யூதாவிடம், “உன் மருமகள் தாமார் ஒரு வேசியைப்போல பாவம் செய்துவிட்டாள். இப்போது அவள் கர்ப்பமாக இருக்கிறாள்” என்றனர். யூதாவோ, “அவளை அழைத்துப் போய் எரித்துவிடுவோம்” என்றான்.

And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.
