அதற்கு அவன்: கர்த்தர் என் பிரயாணத்தை வாய்க்கப்பண்ணியிருக்க, நீங்கள் எனக்குத் தடைசெய்யாதிருங்கள்; நான் என் எஜமானிடத்துக்குப் போக என்னை அனுப்பிவிடவேண்டும் என்றான்.

அப்படியே அவர்கள் தங்கள் சகோதரியாகிய ரெபெக்காளையும், அவள் தாதியையும், ஆபிரகாமின் ஊழியக்காரனையும், அவன் மனிதரையும் அனுப்புவித்து,

ஈசாக்கு யாக்கோபை அனுப்பிவிட்டான். அப்பொழுது அவன் பதான் அராமிலிருக்கும் சீரியா தேசத்தானாகிய பெத்துவேலுடைய குமாரனும், தனக்கும் ஏசாவுக்கும் தாயாகிய ரெபெக்காளின் சகோதரனுமான லாபானிடத்துக்குப் போகப் புறப்பட்டான்.

மேலும் நீங்கள் போகும் வழியிலே சண்டைபண்ணிக்கொள்ளாதிருங்கள் என்று அவன் தன் சகோதரருக்குச் சொல்லி அனுப்பினான்; அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப் போனார்கள்.

சாதோக்கின் குமாரனாகிய அகிமாஸ்: கர்த்தர் ராஜாவை அவர் சத்துருக்களின் கைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி நியாயஞ்செய்தார் என்னும் செய்தியை அவருக்குக் கொண்டுபோக, நான் ஓடட்டுமே என்றான்.

மேலும் ஜாமங்காக்கிறவன் முந்தினவனுடைய ஓட்டம் சாதோக்கின் மகன் அகிமாசுடைய ஓட்டம்போலிக்கிறது என்று எனக்குத் தோன்றுகிறது என்றான்; அப்பொழுது ராஜா: அவன் நல்ல மனுஷன்; அவன் நல்ல செய்தி சொல்ல வருகிறான் என்றான்.

தன் வேலையில் ஜாக்கிரதையாயிருக்கிறவனை நீ கண்டால், அவன் நீசருக்கு முன்பாக நில்லாமல், ராஜாக்களுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பான்.

இந்நாட்களைப் பார்க்கிலும் முன்நாட்கள் நலமாயிருந்தது என்று சொல்லாதே; நீ இதைக்குறித்துக் கேட்பது ஞானமல்ல.

பிசாசுகள் நீங்கின மனுஷன் அவருடனே கூட இருக்கும்படி உத்தரவு கேட்டான்.
