கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், நான் இஸ்ரவேலைத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட நாளில் யாக்கோபுவம்சத்து ஜனங்களுக்கு நான் ஆணையிட்டு, எகிப்துதேசத்தில் என்னை அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தி, நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்று ஆணையிட்டேன்.

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், நான் இஸ்ரவேலைத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட நாளிலே யாக்கோபு வம்சத்து மக்களுக்கு நான் வாக்கு கொடுத்து, எகிப்துதேசத்தில் என்னை அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தி, நான் உங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்று வாக்களித்தேன்.

நீ அவர்களிடம் சொல்ல வேண்டும்: ‘எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறுகிறார்: நான் இஸ்ரவேலைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த நாளில், நான் யாக்கோபின் குடும்பத்தின்மேல் என் கையை உயர்த்தி, நான் அவர்களுக்கு முன்னால், எகிப்தில், என்னை வெளிப்படுத்தினேன். என் கையை உயர்த்தி நான் சொன்னேன்: “நானே உமது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.”

unto אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם ʾēl ale
them, Thus כֹּֽה kō koh
saith אָמַר֮ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
the Lord אֲדֹנָ֣י ʾădōnāy uh-doh-NAI
God; יְהוִה֒ yĕhōwi yeh-hoh-VEE
In the day בְּיוֹם֙ yôm yome
when I chose בָּחֳרִ֣י bāḥar ba-HAHR
Israel, בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiśrāʾēl yees-ra-ALE
and lifted up וָאֶשָּׂ֣א nāśāʾ na-SA
mine hand יָדִ֗י yād yahd
unto the seed לְזֶ֙רַע֙ zeraʿ zeh-RA
of the house בֵּ֣ית bayit ba-YEET
of Jacob, יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב yaʿăqōb ya-uh-KOVE
and made myself known וָאִוָּדַ֥ע yādaʿ ya-DA
