Genesis 4:12
ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ, ਤੂੰ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਉਗਦੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਬੀਜੇਂਗਾ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੌਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਗਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ ਭਟਕੇਂਗਾ।”

ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹਾਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਨਗੇ। ਹਵਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਡਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਪੱਤੇ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਉਹ ਭੱਜਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਦਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਪੂਰਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁਦ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਬੇ-ਘਰ ਹੋਕੇ ਭਟਕਣਗੇ।

ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ ‘ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਦਾ ਆਤੰਕ।’

“ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਅਰਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਿਕਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਥੱਕੀਆਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੇਚੈਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ।

ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਪਰ ਇਸਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਗਾਉਣਗੇ।

ਦੇਖੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਂਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਾਂਗਾ! ਮੇਰਾ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਵੇਗਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।”
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 3:17
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਕਿ ਓਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਨਾ ਖਾਵੀਂ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਓਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੈਂਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਜੀਵਨ ਭਰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ।
