ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਨਥਾਨਿਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਥੱਲੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇਖੇਂਗਾ!”
