Daniel 1:8
ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਅ ਪੀਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਉਸ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਅ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਨਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਸ਼ਪਨਜ਼ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਅਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਇਸਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਨਾ ਬਨਣ੍ਹ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਮੰਗੀ।
