ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਦ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦੀ ਉੱਠੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਦਾਗੋਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਪਰਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਡਿੱਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਗੋਨ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

Isaiah 19:1
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਮਿਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਮਿਸਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼: ਦੇਖੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਜ਼ ਬੱਦਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਬਣਗੇ। ਮਿਸਰ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਇਸਦਾ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਪਿਘਲ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Isaiah 46:7

2 Corinthians 6:14

Jeremiah 10:8

ਇੱਕ ਕਾਮਾ ਤਰਾਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ਲੱਕੜ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੂਸਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਹਬੌੜੇ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਕਾਮਾ ਆਹਰਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਆਖਰੀ ਕਾਮਾ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਧਾਤ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵੇਗੀ।’ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਧਾਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੱਡਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਨਾ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਿਲਦੀ!”
Isaiah 40:20

Psalm 97:7
ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ “ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ” ਬਾਰੇ ਡੀਂਗਾ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ “ਦੇਵਤੇ” ਝੁਕ ਜਾਵਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
Exodus 12:12
“ਅੱਜ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਦੀ ਪਲੋਠੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਦਰਸਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।
