אֲפָפ֤וּנִי׀ compassed ʾāpap חֶבְלֵי The sorrows ḥebel מָ֗וֶת of death māwet וּמְצָרֵ֣י me, and the pains mēṣar שְׁא֣וֹל of hell šĕʾôl מְצָא֑וּנִי gat hold upon māṣāʾ צָרָ֖ה trouble ṣārâ וְיָג֣וֹן and sorrow. yāgôn אֶמְצָֽא׃ me: I found māṣāʾ

חַנּ֣וּן Gracious ḥannûn יְהוָֹ֣ה the Lord, yĕhōwâ וְצַדִּ֑יק and righteous; ṣaddîq וֵ֖אלֹהֵ֣ינוּ yea, our God ʾĕlōhîm מְרַחֵֽם׃ merciful. rāḥam

אֶ֭תְהַלֵּךְ I will walk hālak לִפְנֵ֣י before pānîm יְהוָ֑ה the Lord yĕhōwâ בְּ֝אַרְצ֗וֹת in the land ʾereṣ הַֽחַיִּֽים׃ of the living. ḥay
