Ezra 10:8
ଯଦି କୌଣସି ଲୋକ ତିନି ଦିନ ମଧିଅରେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ନ ଆସିବ, ତବେେ ତାର ସମସ୍ତ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ହରଣ କରାୟିବ। ଏହି ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗମାନେ ନଇେଥିଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ବର ସମାଜରୁ ପୃଥକ କରାୟିବ।

ଶାଉଲ ହଲେ ବଳଦ ଆଣି ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଖଣ୍ତ ଖଣ୍ତ କରି କାଟିଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ସେ ଟକ୍ସ୍ଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟରାଗୁଡିକୁ ଦୂତଗଣକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦେଲେ। ସେ ଏହା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟଙ୍କୁ ସତର୍କ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦେଲେ। ସେ ଏକ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ପଠାଇଲେ, ଯଦି କହେି ଶାଉଲ ଏବଂ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କୁ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟସରଣ ନକରନ୍ତି, ତବେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଗାଈଗୁଡିକୁ ଏପରି ଖଣ୍ତ ଖଣ୍ତ କରି ଦିଆୟିବ।

ଏହାପରେ ସମାନେେ ପଚାରିଲେ, ଯେଉଁ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଟି ଯାହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଡେ ଫରେିଲା ନାହିଁ? ସମାନେେ ଏହି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିଲେ କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ଏକ ଗମ୍ଭୀର ଶପଥ କରିଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଦର୍ଶନ କରିବାକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ମିସ୍ପୀକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
