ଯିହାରୋମ୍ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତା ଏଲୀଯଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏକ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ପାଇଲେ। ସହେି ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ରେ ଏହିପରି ଲଖାେଥିଲା : ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏହିକଥା କହନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଦାଉଦ ଯାହାଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗମନ କରିଥିଲେ, ଏ ସହେି ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅଟନ୍ତି। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, 'ଯିହାରୋମ୍, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରକାର ଜୀବନୟାପନ କରିଥିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେ ପ୍ରକାର କରି ନାହଁ। ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଆସା ଯେ ପ୍ରକାର ଜୀବନୟାପନ କରିଥିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସପରେି ଜୀବନୟାପନ କରି ନାହଁ।

ଯିହାରୋମ୍ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତା ଏଲୀଯଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏକ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ପାଇଲେ। ସହେି ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ରେ ଏହିପରି ଲଖାେଥିଲା : ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏହିକଥା କହନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଦାଉଦ ଯାହାଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗମନ କରିଥିଲେ, ଏ ସହେି ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅଟନ୍ତି। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, 'ଯିହାରୋମ୍, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରକାର ଜୀବନୟାପନ କରିଥିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେ ପ୍ରକାର କରି ନାହଁ। ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଆସା ଯେ ପ୍ରକାର ଜୀବନୟାପନ କରିଥିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସପରେି ଜୀବନୟାପନ କରି ନାହଁ।
