ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ତଳୀ ପ୍ରଥମ ମାସ ରେ ସୀନ୍ ମରୁଭୂମିରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ କାଦେଶ ରେ ବାସ କଲେ। ମରିଯମ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସଠାେରେ କବର ଦିଆଗଲା।

ସେତବେେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ବିଳାଶ କଲୁ ଓ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣିଲେ। ସେ ଏକ ଦୂତ ପଠାଇ ମିଶରରୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲେ। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦେଶର ସୀମାସ୍ଥିତ କାଦେଶ ନଗର ରେ ଅଛୁ।

ତହୁଁ ମିରଯମ ସାତଦିନ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଛାଉଣୀ ବାହା ରେ ରହିଲା। ସେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଭିତରକୁ ନ ଆସିବା ୟାଏ ଲୋକମାନେ ୟାତ୍ରା କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ପୁଣି ତମ୍ବୁ ଉପରୁ ମେଘ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତରିତ ହେଲା। ହାରୋଣ ମରିଯମଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ, ତାଙ୍କର ଚର୍ମ ହିମତୁଲ୍ଯ ଶ୍ବତବେର୍ଣ୍ଣ, ସେ କୁଷ୍ଠଗ୍ରସ୍ତା ହେଲେ।
