ମାଶାେ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ମଃସା ଏବଂ ମିରୀବା ରଖିଲେ (ପରୀକ୍ଷା ଓ ବିବାଦ)। କାରଣ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିଥିଲେ ଓ ୟୁକ୍ତି କରିଥିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି କି ନା?

ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ବିଗ୍ଭରପତିଗଣ ଲାଞ୍ଚ ନଇେ ବିଗ୍ଭର କରନ୍ତି। ଆଉ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନର ଯାଜକଗଣ ଅର୍ଥ ନଇେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣ ଭବିଷ୍ଯବାଣୀ ପାଇଁ ଅର୍ଥ ନିଅନ୍ତି। ତଥାପି ସେ ସ୍ଥାନର ବୃଦ୍ଧଗଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ଆଶା କରନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ମଧ୍ଯ କୁହନ୍ତି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏଠା ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ କୌଣସି ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଘଟିବ ନାହିଁ।

ହେ ସିୟୋନ ନିବାସୀଗଣ, ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ବର ରେ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କର। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସହେି ପବିତ୍ର ଧର୍ମସ୍ବରୂପ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ତେଣୁ ଆନନ୍ଦ କର।

ସହେି ସମୟରେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଉପରେ ଆମ୍ଭର କୋରଧ ହବେ। ତେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆପଣା ମକ୍ସ୍ଟହଁ ବନ୍ଦ କରିବା। ତହିଁରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପାଇଁ ଭୟଙ୍କର ଅବସ୍ଥାମାନ ହବେ, ଏବଂ ସମାନେେ ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସମସ୍ଯା ରେ ପଡିବେ। ତା'ପରେ ସମାନେେ କହିବେ, 'ଏହିସବୁ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଆମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ଘଟିଛି କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ନାହାଁନ୍ତି।'

ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେ ପ୍ରତି ସଦଯ, ତବେେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଦୟାକରି ଆସନ୍ତୁ। ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ ଶକ୍ତଗ୍ରୀବ ଲୋକ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଦୟାକରି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାପର କ୍ଷମା କର! ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କର।
