ତହିଁରେ ସହେି ତିନି ବୀର ରାସ୍ତା ରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯ ମଧ୍ଯ ଦଇେ ପଶିୟାଇ ବୈଥ୍ଲହମେ ନଗରଦ୍ବାର ନିକଟସ୍ଥ କୂଅରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପାଣି ଆଣିଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ସେ ତହିଁରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପିଇବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସମ୍ମତ ନ ହାଇେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ତାହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଢାଳି ଦେଲେ।

ତା'ପରେ ଅହାହେୀୟ ବଂଶଜ ଦୋଦୟର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଇଲିୟାସର, ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଥିବା ତିନିଜଣ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ବୀରଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଜଣେ ଥିଲା, ଯେତବେେଳେ ସମାନେେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟକାବକ୍ସ୍ଟଲା କଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ପାଇଁ ଏକତ୍ରୀତ ହେଲ କିନ୍ତୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦୌଡି ପଳାଇଲେ।

ସେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବିପଦ ରେ ପକାଇ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କଲା। ସେଥି ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମକ୍ସ୍ଟଦାଯ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମହା ବିଜଯ ସାଧନ କଲେ। ଆପଣ ତାହା ଦେଖି ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏବେ ଆପଣ ବିନା କାରଣ ରେ ଦାଉଦକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବେ କାହିଁକି? ସେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ ଦୋଷ, ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାର କିଛି କାରଣ ନାହିଁ।
1 Samuel 7:6
ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ମିସପୀ ରେ ମିଳିତ ହେଲେ ଏବଂ ପାଣି ଆଣିଲେ ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଗ ରେ ତାହା ଢାଳିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସହେିଦିନ ଉପବାସ ପାଳନ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ପାପ କରୁଛକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ମିସପୀ ରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ବିଗ୍ଭର କଲେ।
