Psalm 14
1 मूर्ख मानिसले मात्र आफ्नो हृदयमा भन्छ, “ईश्वर छैन।” मूर्ख मानिसहरूले अनैतिक र घिनलाग्दा कामहरू गर्छन्। ती मध्ये एउटा पनि राम्रो काम हुँदैन।
2 परमप्रभुले ज्ञानी मानिसहरू कोही छन् भनेर स्वर्गबाट तल हेर्नुहुन्छ। ज्ञानी मानिसहरूले सहयोगको निम्ति परमेश्वरलाई पुकार्छन्।
3 तर सबै मानिसहरू परमेश्वरबाट विमुख भएर टाढिए र दुष्ट भइसके। कुनै एकजना मानिसले पनि राम्रो काम गरेको छैनन्।
4 दुष्ट मानिसहरूले मेरो प्रियजनहरूलाई नष्ट गरिसके अनि ती दुष्ट मानिसहरू परमेश्वरको विषयमा जान्दैनन्। दुष्ट मानिसहरूका लागि खानलाई प्रशस्त खाद्य छ, तर पनि तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुलाई सम्मान गर्दैनन्।
5 दुष्ट मानिसहरूले ती गरीब मानिसहरूबाट कुनै सल्लाह लिन मान्दैनन्। किन?
6 किनभने ती गरीब मानिसहरू परमप्रभु परमेश्वरका भक्तजनहरू हुन् तर परमेश्वर सधैं ती असल मानिससँग हुनुहुन्छ। यसैले दुष्ट मानिसहरू प्रशस्त भयबोधले ग्रस्त छन्।
7 सियोनमा इस्राएल लाई बचाउने को छ? परमेश्वर बाहेक कोही पनि छैन! परमप्रभुका मानिसहरूलाई लगियो अनि कैदी बनाइयो। तर परमप्रभुले आफ्ना भक्तजनहरूलाई फर्काएर ल्याउनु हुनेछ, तब याकूब (इस्राएल ) खुशी हुनेछ।

2 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
3 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
4 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
5 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.
6 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
7 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.
8 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
