तब येशूले मानिसहरूलाई आफूकहाँ बोलाउनुभयो उहाँका चेलाहरू पनि त्यहीं थिए। अनि उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “यदि कसैले मलाई अनुसरण गर्न चाहन्छ भने, त्यसले स्वयंलाई अस्वीकार गरोस् उसले आफूलाई दिईएका क्रूस (कष्टहरू) लाई ग्रहण गर्नेपर्छ, अनि मलाई पछ्याउनु पर्छ।
