Leviticus 22
1 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
2 “हारून र त्यसका छोराहरूलाई भनः इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले मलाई जे चढाउँछन ती चीजहरू पवित्र हुन्छन्। ती मेरा हुन् यसकारण तिमी पूजाहारीहरूले यी चीजहरू नचलाउनु। यदि तिमीहरूले आफ्नो लागि ती पवित्र चीजहरू चलायौ भने तब तिमीहरूले मेरो पवित्र नामको आदर नगरेको बुझिन्छ। म परमप्रभु हुँ।
3 हारून अनि उसका छोराहरूलाई भनिदेऊ। यदि तिमीहरूका सन्तानहरूबाट कसैले यी चीजहरू छुन्छ जब त्यो मानिस अशुद्ध छ। त्यस मानिसलाई छुट्याउनु पर्छ। इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले ती चीजहरू मलाई दिएका छन्। म परमप्रभु हुँ।
4 “यदि हारूनका सन्तानहरू मध्ये कसैलाई छालाको डरलाग्दो रोग अथवा धातु स्त्राव रोग छ भने ऊ शुद्ध नहोउञ्जेलसम्म पवित्र खाद्य खान सक्दैन। यो नियम सबै अशुद्ध पूजाहारीहरूको निम्ति हो। पूजाहारीले शुद्ध हुन सक्छ जब ऊ मरेको शरीर छुन्छ अथवा आफ्नो स्राव गराउँछ।
5 उनले कुनै घस्रने अशुद्ध पशुहरू छोए पनि अशुद्ध हुन सक्छन्। के गर्दा अथवा कसरी कुनै व्यक्ति अशुद्ध भयो त्यो कुनै मुख्य कुरा होइन, तर कुनै पूजाहारीले अशुद्ध मानिसलाई छुँदा नै अशुद्ध भइहाल्छन्।
6 यी चीजहरू मध्ये कुनैलाई छुइन्छ त्यो मानिस साँझसम्म अशुद्ध रहन्छ। उसले पानीमा ननुहाएसम्म पवित्र खाद्य खानु सक्दैन।
7 घाम अस्ताएपछि मात्र उनी पवित्र हुनु सक्छन् अनि पवित्र खाना खानु सक्छन्। किन? किनभने पवित्र खाना उसको हुन्छ।
8 “यदि कुनै पूजाहारीले आफैं मरेको अथवा जंगली जनावरले मारेको पशु भेट्छन् उनले त्यो खानु हुँदैन, यदि खान्छन् उनी अशुद्ध हुन्छन्। म परमप्रभु हुँ।
9 “मैले आदेश गरेअनुसार पूजाहारीले गर्नुपर्छ जसले गर्दा तिनीहरू धेरै सजग बस्नु पर्छ। पवित्र चीजहरू तिनीहरूले गर्दा अपवित्र नहुन्। यदि तिनी सजग हुन्छन् भने, तिनीहरू मर्दैनन्। म परमप्रभुले यही विशेष कर्मको निम्ति तिनीहरूलाई अरू मानिसहरूबाट छुट्याएको छु।
10 पूजाहारीसित बस्ने पाहुना अथवा ज्यालामा काम गर्न आएको मजदूरले पवित्र भोजन खान हुँदैन, पूजाहारीको परिवारले मात्र पवित्र भोजन खान सक्छन्।
11 तर पूजाहारीको घरमा जन्मेका कमारा-कमारी अथवा पूजाहारीले आफ्नैं पैसाले किनेको कमारा-कमारीले पनि पवित्र खाद्यको भाग खान सक्छन्।
12 पूजाहारीकी छोरीले अर्को परिवारको मानिससँग पनि बिहे गर्न सक्छे। यदि उसले यसो गर्छे भने उसले बलिबाट निकालिएको पवित्र खाद्य खान सक्दिन।
13 पूजाहारीको कुनै छोरी विधवा हुनु सक्छे अथवा उसलाई आफ्नो पतिद्वारा छुट्याउन सक्छ अनि यदि तिनीहरूका छोरा-छोरीहरूलाई सहायता गर्ने छैन भने ऊ आफ्नो बुबाको घरमा जान सक्छे। तब उसले आफ्नो बुबाको भागबाट केही अंश पवित्र खाद्य खान सक्छे। पूजाहारीको परिवारले मात्र यो भोजन खान सक्छ।
14 यदि कुनै मानिसले पवित्र थाहा नपाई खान्छ भने उसले त्यसको पाँचौ भाग थपेर पूजाहारीलाई दिनुपर्छ।
15 “इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले परमप्रभुलाई बलि चढाउन सक्छन् र यी बलिहरू नै पवित्र बनिन्छन्। यसर्थ पूजाहारीहरूले यी पवित्र बलिहरू अपवित्र पार्नु हुँदैन।
16 यदि पूजाहारीहरूले यी उपहारहरूलाई पवित्र मान्दैनन्, तिनीहरूले जब यी पवित्र चीजहरू खान्छन् तब आफ्नो पाप अझै थपिरहेका हुन्छन्। तिनीहरूलाई पवित्र तुल्याउने परमप्रभु म नै हुँ।”
17 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
18 “हारून, उनका छोराहरू र इस्राएलका समस्त मानिसहरूलाई भनः इस्राएलमा बसोबास गर्ने विदेशी होस अथवा देशी, त्यस मानिसको बलि कुनै विशेष बलि होस् अथवा त्यो उसको भाकलको बलि होस्।
19 “ती उपहारहरू परमेश्वरलाई चढाउन इच्छा गर्ने मानिसले चढाएका हुन्। यसर्थ कुनै खोट भएको बलि तिमीहरूले ग्रहण गर्नु हुँदैन कारण त्यस्तो बलि म ग्रहण गर्दिनँ।
20 साँढे, बाख्रा अथवा भेडा जुन सुकै उपहार होस् तर त्यो पुरूष अनि निष्खोट हुनुपर्छ।
21 “कुनै व्यक्तिले मेलबलि अथवा परमप्रभुलाई स्वेच्छाले आफ्नो भाकल पूरा गर्न बलि चढाउनु सक्छ, तर त्यो बलि बलियो अनि निष्खोट हुनुपर्छ त्यो साँढे होस् अथवा भेडा।
22 तिमीहरूले परमप्रभुको वेदीको आगोमा कुनै प्रकारको रोगी पश उपहार स्वरूपमा चढाउनु हुँदैन। यसर्थ कुनै बलि तिनीहरू परमप्रभुलाई चढाउछौ त्यो अन्धो, लंङ्गडो, अयोग्य अनि चर्मरोग अथवा धातुरोग भोगेको छ भने यस्ता पशुहरू उपहारको रूपमा चढाउनु हुँदैन।
23 “कोही समयमा लामो खुट्टा भएको अथवा खुट्टाहरू ठीकसँग नबढेको साँढे अथवा थुमा पनि हुन्छन्, अनि यदि पशुहरूबाट कसैले परमप्रभुलाई विशेष बलि चढाउन चाहे त्यो परमप्रभुले ग्रहण गर्नु हुन्छ। तर यस्तो पशुको बलि कुनै भाकल गरिएको बलि ग्रहण गर्नुहुन्न।
24 “यस्तो पशु नचढाऊ जसको अण्डाकोष कुच्याएको अथवा काटिएको छ। यस्तो आफ्नो भूमिमा नचढाऊ।
25 “यस्ता प्रकारका पशुहरू विदेशीहरूबाट आफ्ना परमेश्वरलाई खाद्यको रूपमा चढाउन न ल्याऊ। किनभने ती पशुहरू घाइते छन् तिनीहरू खोट लागेका छन् अनि ग्रहण योग्य हुँदैनन्।”
26 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
27 “जब बाछो, अथवा पाठा अथवा सानो बोका जन्मन्छ त्यसको माऊले त्यसलाई आफूसंगै सात दिनसम्म राख्नुपर्छ आनि त्यसपछि आठौं दिन यो परमप्रभुद्वारा आगो बलिको रूपमा स्वीकार गरिनेछ।
28 तर तिमीले त्यही दिन माऊ र पाठो बलि चढाउनु हुँदैन। यो नियम गाईहरू र भेडाहरूमा पनि लाग हुन्छ।
29 “यदि तिमी परमप्रभुलाई धन्यवाद बलि चढाउछौ, तिमीले चढाउँन सक्छौ तर त्यो बलि परमेश्वरलाई ग्रहणयोग्य हुनुपर्छ।
30 तिमीले त्यो बलि चढाएको पशुको मासु त्यही दिन खाई सक्नुपर्छ भोलि बिहानसम्म बाँकी राख्नु हुँदैन। म परमप्रभु हुँ।
31 “मेरो आज्ञाहरू याद राख अनि पालन गर। म परमप्रभु हुँ।
32 इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले मलाई विशेष रूपमा स्वीकार गर्नु पर्छ। मेरो नाउँको आदर गर्नु पर्छ। म परमप्रभु हुँ अनि तिमीहरूलाई पवित्र बनाउँछु।
33 मैले तिमीहरूलाई मिश्र देशबाट ल्याएँ। म तिमीहरूको परमेश्वर भएको छु। म परमप्रभु हुँ।”विशेष पवित्र दिनहरू
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am the Lord.
3 Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the Lord, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the Lord.
4 What man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;
5 Or whosoever toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath;
6 The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water.
7 And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food.
8 That which dieth of itself, or is torn with beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am the Lord.
9 They shall therefore keep mine ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I the Lord do sanctify them.
10 There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.
11 But if the priest buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat.
12 If the priest’s daughter also be married unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.
13 But if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
14 And if a man eat of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the holy thing.
15 And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto the Lord;
16 Or suffer them to bear the iniquity of trespass, when they eat their holy things: for I the Lord do sanctify them.
17 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
18 Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the Lord for a burnt offering;
19 Ye shall offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats.
20 But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.
21 And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.
22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the Lord, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the Lord.
23 Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
24 Ye shall not offer unto the Lord that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.
25 Neither from a stranger’s hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.
26 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
27 When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
28 And whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.
29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the Lord, offer it at your own will.
30 On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am the Lord.
31 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord.
32 Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the Lord which hallow you,
33 That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord.

2 ਅਮਰਯਾਹ, ਮੱਲੂਕ, ਹੱਟੂਸ਼,
Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,
3 ਸ਼ਕਨਯਾਹ, ਰਹੁਮ, ਮਰੇਮੋਬ,
Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
4 ਇੱਦੋ, ਗਿਨਬੋਈ, ਅਬੀਯਾਹ,
Iddo, Ginnetho, Abijah,
5 ਮਿਯ੍ਯਾਮੀਨ, ਮਆਦਯਾਹ, ਬਿਲਗਾਹ,
Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
6 ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਯੋਯਾਰੀਬ, ਯਦਆਯਾਹ,
Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,
7 ਸੱਲੂ, ਆਮੋਕ, ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਦਆਯਾਹ। ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਸਨ।
Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chief of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.
8 ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਨ: ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ, ਬਿੰਨੂਈ, ਕਦਮੀਏਲ, ਸ਼ੇਰੇਬਯਾਹ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਸੀ।
Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.
9 ਬਕਬੁਕਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਨੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦੋਨੋ ਆਦਮੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜੋਁਦੇ ਹਨ।
Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in the watches.
10 ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਯੋਯਾਦਾ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।
And Jeshua begat Joiakim, Joiakim also begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,
11 ਯੋਯਾਦਾ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਯਦ੍ਦੂਆ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।
And Joiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.
12 ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਆਗੂ ਸਨ: ਸ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਮਿਰਾਯਾਹ ਸੀ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਸੀ।
And in the days of Joiakim were priests, the chief of the fathers: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
13 ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਮੱਸ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਹਾਨਾਨ ਸੀ।
Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
14 ਮਲੂਕੀ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਨਯਾਹ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਸੀ।
Of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;
15 ਹਾਰੀਮ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਅਦਨਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਾਯੋਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਹਲਕਈ ਸੀ।
Of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;
16 ਇੱਦੋ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਨਬੋਨ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਮੱਸ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਸੀ।
Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;
17 ਅਬੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਜ਼ਿਕਰੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਅਦਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਪਿਲਟਾਈ ਸੀ।
Of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;
18 ਬਿਲਗਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਸ਼ਂਮੂਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਮਆਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਯਹੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਸੀ।
Of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;
19 ਯੋਯਾਰੀਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਮਤਨਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਦਆਯਾਹ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਉਜ਼ੀ ਸੀ।
And of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;
20 ਸਲਈ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਕਲਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਮੋਕ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਏਬਰ ਸੀ।
Of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;
21 ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਦਆਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਨਬਨੇਲ ਸੀ।
Of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.
22 ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ, ਯੋਯਾਦਆ, ਯੋਹਾਨਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਦ੍ਦੂਆ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਫਾਰਸੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨਕਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded chief of the fathers: also the priests, to the reign of Darius the Persian.
23 ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਹਾਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੀਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ।
The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
24 ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ-ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ, ਸ਼ੇਰੇਬਯਾਹ, ਕਦਮੀਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਉਹ ਉਸਤਤ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਆਮ੍ਹੋ-ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖਲੋ ਗਏ, ਇੱਕ ਟੋਲਾ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਟੋਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ।
And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.
25 ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ, ਬਕਬੁਕਯਾਹ, ਓਬਦਯਾਹ, ਮੱਸ਼ੁਲਾਮ, ਟਲਮੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਕੂਬ ਫ਼ਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੋਦਾਮਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਪਹਿਰਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.
26 ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ, ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਯੋਸਾਦਾਕ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨਹਮਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
27 ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੀ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਦੀ ਚੱਠ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਓੱਥੇ ਆਏ। ਇਉਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਛੈਣੇ, ਸਿਤਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ ਵਜ਼ਾਕੇ ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
28 ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਵਈਏ ਵ੍ਵੀ ਆਏ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਨਟੋਫ਼ਾਬ ਦੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ, ਬੈਤ-ਗਿਲਗਾਲ, ਗ਼ਬਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਵਬ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕਤਰ ਹੋਏ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਵਈਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੁਦ ਦੇ ਪਿਂਡ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;

Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
30 ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਫ਼ਾਟਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31 ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੰਧ ਦੇ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਖਲੋ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਗਵਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਵੱਡੇ ਟੋਲੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਸੱਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਜਲੂਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਸੱਕਣ। ਇੱਕ ਟੋਲਾ ਕੰਧ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਕੂੜੇ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ।
Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:
32 ਹੋਸ਼ਅਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਆਗੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਗਏ।
And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,
33 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ, ਅਜ਼ਰਾ, ਮੱਸ਼ੁਲਾਮ,
And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
34 ਯਹੂਦਾਹ, ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ, ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ, ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ,
Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,
35 ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ, ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਗਿਆ (ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ, ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ, ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ, ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ, ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ ਜ਼ਕੂਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਕੂਰ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।)
And certain of the priests’ sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:
36 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ: ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ, ਅਜ਼ਰੇਲ ਮਿਲਲਈ, ਗਿਲਲਈ, ਮਾਈ, ਨਬਨੇਲ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਨਾਨੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਜ਼ ਵੀ ਸਨ। ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ।
And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.
37 ਉਹ ਫ਼ੁਵਾਰੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਢ਼ਕੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੰਧ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਜਲ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ।
And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
38 ਗਵਈਯ੍ਯਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਜੱਬਾ ਦੂਜੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਕੰਧ ਵੱਲ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸਨ। ਤੇ ਉਹ ਟੋਲਾ ਤਂਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਤੋਂ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਚੌੜੀ ਕੰਧ ਤੀਕ ਗਿਆ।
And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;
39 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫ਼ਾਟਕਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ: ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮੀ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਤੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਤੱਕ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੱਛੀ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਨੂੰ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਓਬੋਁ ਉਹ ਹਨਨੇਲ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਤੀਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਕੜੇ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਤੀਕ ਗਏ। ਇੰਝ, ਉਹ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਦੂਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਕੋਲ ਆਕੇ ਰੁਕੇ।
And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.
40 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਗਵਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਟੋਲੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਖਲੋ ਗਏ।
So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
41 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇਹ ਜਾਜਕ ਜਾਕੇ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਖਲੇ ਗਏ: ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ, ਮਅਸੇਯਾਹ, ਮਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ, ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ, ਅਲਯੋਏਨੀ, ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42 ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਮਅਸੇਯਾਹ ਸ਼ਮਆਯਾਹ, ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ, ਉਜ਼ੀ, ਯ੍ਯਹੋਹਾਨਾਨ, ਮਲਕੀਯਾਹ, ਏਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਰ ਵੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਖੜੋਤੇ। ਫਿਰ ਯਜ਼ਰਹਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਟੋਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਵਜਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
43 ਇਉਂ ਉਸ ਖਾਸ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੂਬ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਬਖਸ਼ੀ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਵੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਮਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ। ਦੂਰ ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਗਾਨ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
44 ਉਸ ਦਿਨ, ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਦਾਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਵੀ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਲੋਕੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੁਗਾਤਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫ਼ਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸੁਝਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਸਵੰਧ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਮੱਗ੍ਰੀ ਗੋਦਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਭਾਲੀ। ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਿਂਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਤੇ ਬੜੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ।
And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.
45 ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਲਗਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਗਵਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ।। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਕੀਤਾ।
And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
46 ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਦਿਨੀਁ, ਓੱਥੇ ਗਵਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਸਨ।
For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
47 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਰਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਜ਼ਰੁੱਬਾਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਨਹਮਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਗਵਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਚਂਦੇ ਅੱਡ ਰੱਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਂਦੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਅੱਡ ਰੱਖੇ।
And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.
