1 அக்காலத்திலே பலாதானின் குமாரனாகிய மெரோதாக்பலாதான் என்னும் பாபிலோனின் ராஜா, எசேக்கியா வியாதிப்பட்டிருந்து ஆரோக்கியமானதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டு அவனிடத்திற்கு நிருபங்களையும் வெகுமானத்தையும் அனுப்பினான். At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.

2 எசேக்கியா அவர்களைக் கண்டு சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, தன் பொக்கிஷசாலையையும், வெள்ளியையும், பொன்னையும், கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், நல்ல பரிமளதைலத்தையும் தன் ஆயுதசாலை அனைத்தையும், தன் பொக்கிஷசாலைகளில் உள்ளதெல்லாவற்றையும் அவர்களுக்குக் காண்பித்தான்; எசேக்கியா தன் அரமனையிலும், தன் ராஜ்யத்திலேயும் அவர்களுக்குக் காண்பியாதப் பொருள் ஒன்றும் இல்லை. And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

3 அப்பொழுது ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி எசேக்கியா ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வந்து அந்த மனுஷர் என்ன சொன்னார்கள், எங்கேயிருந்து உம்மிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள் என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு எசேக்கியா: பாபிலோன் என்னும் தூரதேசத்திலிருந்து என்னிடத்திற்கு வந்தார்கள் என்றான். Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.

4 அப்பொழுது அவன்: உம்முடைய வீட்டில் என்னத்தைப் பார்த்தார்கள் என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு எசேக்கியா என் வீட்டிலுள்ளதெல்லாவற்றையும் பார்த்தார்கள்; என் பொக்கிஷங்களில் நான் அவர்களுக்குக் காண்பியாத பொருள் ஒன்றும் இல்லை என்றான். Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

5 அப்பொழுது ஏசாயா எசேக்கியாவை நோக்கி: சேனைகளுடைய கர்த்தரின் வார்த்தையைக் கேளும். Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:

6 இதோ, நாட்கள் வரும்; அப்பொழுது வீட்டில் உள்ளதிலும் உன் பிதாக்கள் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் சேர்த்ததிலும் ஒன்றும் மீதியாய் வைக்கப்படாமல் எல்லா பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோகப்படும். Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

7 நீ பெறப்போகிற உன் சந்ததியாகிய உன் குமாரரிலும் சிலர் பாபிலோன் அரமனை வேலைக்காரராயிருப்பார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான். And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

8 அப்பொழுது எசேக்கியா ஏசாயாவை நோக்கி: நீர் சொன்ன கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை நல்லதுதான் என்று சொல்லி, என் நாட்களிலாவது சமாதானமும் உண்மையும் இருக்குமே என்றான். Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.

1 Akkaalaththilae palaathaanin kumaaranaakiya merothaakpalaathaan ennum paapilonin raajaa, esekkiyaa viyaathippattirunthu aarokkiyamaanathaik kaelvippattu avanidaththirku nirupangalaiyum vekumaanaththaiyum anuppinaan. 2 Esekkiyaa avarkalaik kanndu santhoshappattu, than pokkishasaalaiyaiyum, velliyaiyum, ponnaiyum, kanthavarkkangalaiyum, nalla parimalathailaththaiyum than aayuthasaalai anaiththaiyum, than pokkishasaalaikalil ullathellaavattaைyum avarkalukkuk kaannpiththaan; esekkiyaa than aramanaiyilum, than raajyaththilaeyum avarkalukkuk kaannpiyaathap porul ontum illai. And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

3 Appoluthu aesaayaa theerkkatharisi esekkiyaa raajaavinidaththil vanthu antha manushar enna sonnaarkal, engaeyirunthu ummidaththil vanthaarkal entu kaettan. Atharku esekkiyaa: paapilon ennum thoorathaesaththilirunthu ennidaththirku vanthaarkal entan. Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.

Atharku esekkiyaa en veettilullathellaavattaைyum paarththaarkal; en pokkishangalil naan avarkalukkuk kaannpiyaatha porul ontum illai entan. Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

5 Appoluthu aesaayaa esekkiyaavai Nnokki: senaikalutaiya karththarin vaarththaiyaik kaelum. Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:

6 Itho, naatkal varum; appoluthu veettil ullathilum un pithaakkal innaalvaraikkum serththathilum ontum meethiyaay vaikkappadaamal ellaa paapilonukkuk konndupokappadum. Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

7 Nee perappokira un santhathiyaakiya un kumaararilum silar paapilon aramanai vaelaikkaararaayiruppaarkal entu Karththar sollukiraar entan. And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

8 Appoluthu esekkiyaa aesaayaavai Nnokki: neer sonna karththarutaiya vaarththai nallathuthaan entu solli, en naatkalilaavathu samaathaanamum unnmaiyum irukkumae entan. Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.
