Isaiah 40 in Tamil

1 என் ஜனத்தை ஆற்றுங்கள், தேற்றுங்கள்; Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

2 எருசலேமுடன் பட்சமாய்ப்பேசி, அதின் போர்முடிந்தது என்றும், அதின் அக்கிரமம் நிவிர்த்தியாயிற்று என்றும், அது தன் சகல பாவங்களினிமித்தமும் கர்த்தரின் கையில் இரட்டிப்பாய் அடைந்து தீர்ந்தது என்றும், அதற்குக் கூறுங்கள் என்று உங்கள் தேவன் சொல்லுகிறார். Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.

3 கர்த்தருக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள், அவாந்தரவெளியிலே நம்முடைய தேவனுக்குப் பாதையைச் செவ்வைபண்ணுங்கள் என்றும், The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

4 பள்ளமெல்லம் உயர்த்தப்பட்டு, சகல மலையும் குன்றும் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டு, கோணலானது செவ்வையாகி, கரடுமுரடானவை சமமாக்கப்படும் என்றும். Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

5 கர்த்தரின் மகிமை வெளியரங்கமாகும் மாம்சமான யாவும் அதை ஏகமாய்க் காணும், கர்த்தரின் வாக்கு அதை உரைத்தது என்றும் வனாந்தரத்திலே கூப்பிடுகிற சத்தம் உண்டாயிற்று. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

6 பின்னும் கூப்பிட்டுச் சொல்லென்று ஒரு சத்தம் உண்டாயிற்று; என்னத்தைக் கூப்பிட்டுச் சொல்வேனென்றேன். அதற்கு: மாம்சமெல்லாம் புல்லைப்போலவும், அதின் மேன்மையெல்லாம் வெளியின் பூவைப்போலவும் இருக்கிறது. The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

7 கர்த்தரின் ஆவி அதின்மேல் ஊதும்போது, புல் உலர்ந்து, பூ உதிரும்; ஜனமே புல். The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

8 புல் உலர்ந்து பூ உதிரும்; நமது தேவனுடைய வசனமோ என்றென்றைக்கும் நிற்கும் என்பதையே சொல்லென்று உரைத்தது. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

9 சீயோன் என்னும் சுவிசேஷகியே, நீ உயர்ந்த பர்வதத்தில் ஏறு; எருசலேம் என்னும் சுவிசேஷகியே, நீ உரத்தசத்தமிட்டுக் கூப்பிடு, பயப்படாமல் சத்தமிட்டு, யூதா பட்டணங்களை நோக்கி: இதோ, உங்கள் தேவனென்று கூறு. O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

10 இதோ, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் பராக்கிரமசாலியாக வருவார்; அவர் தமது புயத்தில் அரசாளுவார்; இதோ, அவர் அளிக்கும் பலன் அவரோடேகூட வருகிறது; அவர் கொடுக்கும் பிரதிபலன் அவருடைய முகத்துக்கு முன்பாகச் செல்லுகிறது. Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

11 மேய்ப்பனைப்போலத் தமது மந்தையை மேய்ப்பார்; ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளைத் தமது புயத்தினால் சேர்த்து தமது மடியிலே சுமந்து கறவலாடுகளை மெதுவாய் நடத்துவார். He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

12 தண்ணீர்களைத் தமது கைப்பிடியால் அளந்து, வானங்களை ஜாணளவாய்ப் பிரமாணித்து, பூமியின் மண்ணை மரக்காலில் அடக்கி, பர்வதங்களைத் துலாக்கோலாலும், மலைகளைத் தராசாலும் நிறுத்தவர் யார்? Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

13 கர்த்தருடைய ஆவியை அளவிட்டு, அவருக்கு ஆலோசனைக்காரனாயிருந்து, அவருக்குப் போதித்தவன் யார்? Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?

14 தமக்கு அறிவை உணர்த்தவும், தம்மை நியாயவழியிலே உபதேசிக்கவும் தமக்கு ஞானத்தைக் கற்றுக்கொடுக்கவும், தமக்கு விவேகத்தின்வழி அறிவிக்கவும், அவர் யாரோடே ஆலோசனைபண்ணினார்? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?

15 இதோ, ஜாதிகள் ஏற்றச்சாலில் தொங்கும் துளிபோலவும், தராசிலே படியும் தூசிபோலவும், எண்ணப்படுகிறார்கள்; இதோ, தீவுகளை ஒரு அணுவைப்போல் தூக்குகிறார். Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

16 லீபனோன் எரிக்கும் விறகுக்குப் போதாது அதிலுள்ள மிருகஜீவன்கள் தகனபலிக்கும் போதாது. And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

17 சகல ஜாதிகளும் அவருக்கு முன்பாக ஒன்றுமில்லை, அவர்கள் சூனியத்தில் சூனியமாகவும், மாயையாகவும் எண்ணப்படுகிறார்கள். All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

18 இப்படியிருக்க, தேவனை யாருக்கு ஒப்பிடுவீர்கள்? எந்தச் சாயலை அவருக்கு ஒப்பிடுவீர்கள்? To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

19 கன்னான் ஒரு சுரூபத்தை வார்க்கிறான், தட்டான் பொன்தகட்டால் அதை மூடி, அதற்கு வெள்ளிச்சங்கிலிகளைப் பொருந்தவைக்கிறான். The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.

20 அதற்குக் கொடுக்க வகையில்லாதவன் உளுத்துப்போகாத மரத்தைத்தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அசையாத ஒருசுரூபத்தைச் செய்யும்படி நிபுணனான ஒரு தச்சனைத் தேடுகிறான். He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.

21 நீங்கள் அறியீர்களா? நாங்கள் கேள்விப்படவில்லையா? ஆதிமுதல் உங்களுக்குத் தெரிவிக்கப்படவில்லையா? பூமி அஸ்திபாரப்பட்டதுமுதல் உணராதிருக்கிறீர்களா? Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

22 அவர் பூமி உண்டையின்மேல் வீற்றிருக்கிறவர்; அதின் குடிகள் வெட்டுக்கிளிகளைப்போல இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர் வானங்களை மெல்லிய திரையாகப் பரப்பி, அவைகளைக் குடியிருக்கிறதற்கான கூடாரமாக விரிக்கிறார். It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

23 அவர் பிரபுக்களை மாயையாக்கி, பூமியின் நியாயாதிபதிகளை அவாந்தரமாக்குகிறார். That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

24 அவர்கள் திரும்ப நாட்டப்படுவதுமில்லை, விதைக்கப்படுவதுமில்லை; அவர்களுடைய அடிமரம் திரும்பப் பூமியிலே வேர்விடுவதுமில்லை; அவர்கள்மேல் அவர் ஊதவே பட்டுப்போவார்கள்; பெருங்காற்று அவர்களை ஒரு துரும்பைப்போல் அடித்துக்கொண்டுபோம். Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

25 இப்படியிருக்க, என்னை யாருக்கு ஒப்பிடுவீர்கள்? எனக்கு யாரை நிகராக்குவீர்கள்? என்று பரிசுத்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

26 உங்கள் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப்பாருங்கள்; அவைகளைச் சிருஷ்டித்தவர் யார்? அவர் அவைகளின் சேனையை இலக்கத்திட்டமாகப் புறப்படப்பண்ணி, அவைகளையெல்லாம் பேர்பேராக அழைக்கிறவராமே; அவருடைய மகா பெலத்தினாலும், அவருடைய மகா வல்லமையினாலும் அவைகளில் ஒன்றும் குறையாமலிருக்கிறது. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

27 யாக்கோபே, இஸ்ரவேலே: என் வழி கர்த்தருக்கு மறைவாயிற்று என்றும், என் நியாயம் என் தேவனிடத்தில் எட்டாமல் போகிறது என்றும் நீ சொல்வானேன்? Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

28 பூமியின் கடையாந்தரங்களைச் சிருஷ்டித்த கர்த்தராகிய அநாதிதேவன் சோர்ந்துபோவதுமில்லை, இளைப்படைவதுமில்லை; இதை நீ அறியாயோ? இதை நீ கேட்டதில்லையே. அவருடைய புத்தி ஆராய்ந்து முடியாதது. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29 சோர்ந்துபோகிறவனுக்கு அவர் பெலன் கொடுத்து, சத்துவமில்லாதவனுக்குச் சத்துவத்தைப் பெருகப்பண்ணுகிறார். He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 இளைஞர் இளைப்படைந்து சோர்ந்துபோவார்கள், வாலிபரும் இடறிவிழுவார்கள். Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களோ புதுப்பெலனடைத்து, கழுகுகளைப்போலச் செட்டைகளை அடித்து எழும்புவார்கள்; அவர்கள் ஓடினாலும் இளைப்படையார்கள், நடந்தாலும் சோர்ந்துபோகார்கள். But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

1 En janaththai aattaுngal, thaettaுngal; Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

2 Erusalaemudan patchamaayppaesi, athin pormutinthathu entum, athin akkiramam nivirththiyaayittaு entum, athu than sakala paavangalinimiththamum karththarin kaiyil irattippaay atainthu theernthathu entum, atharkuk kooraுngal entu ungal Dhevan sollukiraar. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.

3 Karththarukku valiyai aayaththappaduththungal, avaantharaveliyilae nammutaiya thaevanukkup paathaiyaich sevvaipannnungal entum, The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

4 Pallamellam uyarththappattu, sakala malaiyum kuntum thaalththappattu, konalaanathu sevvaiyaaki, karadumuradaanavai samamaakkappadum entum. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

5 Karththarin makimai veliyarangamaakum maamsamaana yaavum athai aekamaayk kaanum, karththarin vaakku athai uraiththathu entum vanaantharaththilae kooppidukira saththam unndaayittaு. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

6 Pinnum kooppittuch sollentu oru saththam unndaayittaு; ennaththaik kooppittuch solvaenenten. Atharku: maamsamellaam pullaippolavum, athin maenmaiyellaam veliyin poovaippolavum irukkirathu. The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

7 Karththarin aavi athinmael oothumpothu, pul ularnthu, poo uthirum; janamae pul. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

8 Pul ularnthu poo uthirum; namathu thaevanutaiya vasanamo ententaikkum nirkum enpathaiyae sollentu uraiththathu. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

9 Seeyon ennum suviseshakiyae, nee uyarntha parvathaththil aeraு; Jerusalem ennum suviseshakiyae, nee uraththasaththamittuk kooppidu, payappadaamal saththamittu, yoothaa pattanangalai Nnokki: itho, ungal thaevanentu kooraு. O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

10 Itho, karththaraakiya aanndavar paraakkiramasaaliyaaka varuvaar; avar thamathu puyaththil arasaaluvaar; itho, avar alikkum palan avarotaekooda varukirathu; avar kodukkum pirathipalan avarutaiya mukaththukku munpaakach sellukirathu. Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

11 Maeyppanaippolath thamathu manthaiyai maeyppaar; aattukkuttikalaith thamathu puyaththinaal serththu thamathu matiyilae sumanthu karavalaadukalai methuvaay nadaththuvaar. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

12 Thannnneerkalaith thamathu kaippitiyaal alanthu, vaanangalai jaanalavaayp piramaanniththu, poomiyin mannnnai marakkaalil adakki, parvathangalaith thulaakkolaalum, malaikalaith tharaasaalum niraுththavar yaar? Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

13 Karththarutaiya aaviyai alavittu, avarukku aalosanaikkaaranaayirunthu, avarukkup pothiththavan yaar? Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?

14 Thamakku arivai unarththavum, thammai niyaayavaliyilae upathaesikkavum thamakku njaanaththaik kattaுkkodukkavum, thamakku vivaekaththinvali arivikkavum, avar yaarotae aalosanaipannnninaar? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?

15 Itho, jaathikal aettachchaாlil thongum thulipolavum, tharaasilae patiyum thoosipolavum, ennnappadukiraarkal; itho, theevukalai oru anuvaippol thookkukiraar. Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

16 Leepanon erikkum virakukkup pothaathu athilulla mirukajeevankal thakanapalikkum pothaathu. And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

17 Sakala jaathikalum avarukku munpaaka ontumillai, avarkal sooniyaththil sooniyamaakavum, maayaiyaakavum ennnappadukiraarkal. All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

18 Ippatiyirukka, thaevanai yaarukku oppiduveerkal? Enthach saayalai avarukku oppiduveerkal? To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

19 Kannaan oru suroopaththai vaarkkiraan, thattan ponthakattal athai mooti, atharku vellichchangilikalaip porunthavaikkiraan. The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.

20 Atharkuk kodukka vakaiyillaathavan uluththuppokaatha maraththaiththerinthukonndu, asaiyaatha orusuroopaththaich seyyumpati nipunanaana oru thachchanaith thaedukiraan. 21 Neengal ariyeerkalaa? Naangal kaelvippadavillaiyaa? Aathimuthal ungalukkuth therivikkappadavillaiyaa? Poomi asthipaarappattathumuthal unaraathirukkireerkalaa? Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

22 Avar poomi unntaiyinmael veettirukkiravar; athin kutikal vettukkilikalaippola irukkiraarkal; avar vaanangalai melliya thiraiyaakap parappi, avaikalaik kutiyirukkiratharkaana koodaaramaaka virikkiraar. 23 Avar pirapukkalai maayaiyaakki, poomiyin niyaayaathipathikalai avaantharamaakkukiraar. That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

24 Avarkal thirumpa naattappaduvathumillai, vithaikkappaduvathumillai; avarkalutaiya atimaram thirumpap poomiyilae vaerviduvathumillai; avarkalmael avar oothavae pattuppovaarkal; perungaattaு avarkalai oru thurumpaippol atiththukkonndupom. Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

25 Ippatiyirukka, ennai yaarukku oppiduveerkal? Enakku yaarai nikaraakkuveerkal? Entu Parisuththar sollukiraar. To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

26 Ungal kannkalai aeraெduththuppaarungal; avaikalaich sirushtiththavar yaar? Avar avaikalin senaiyai ilakkaththittamaakap purappadappannnni, avaikalaiyellaam paerpaeraaka alaikkiravaraamae; avarutaiya makaa pelaththinaalum, avarutaiya makaa vallamaiyinaalum avaikalil ontum kuraiyaamalirukkirathu. 27 Yaakkopae, isravaelae: en vali karththarukku maraivaayittaு entum, en niyaayam en thaevanidaththil ettamal pokirathu entum nee solvaanaen? Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

28 Poomiyin kataiyaantharangalaich sirushtiththa karththaraakiya anaathiDhevan sornthupovathumillai, ilaippataivathumillai; ithai nee ariyaayo? Ithai nee kaettathillaiyae. Avarutaiya puththi aaraaynthu mutiyaathathu. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29 Sornthupokiravanukku avar pelan koduththu, saththuvamillaathavanukkuch saththuvaththaip perukappannnukiraar. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Ilainjar ilaippatainthu sornthupovaarkal, vaaliparum idariviluvaarkal. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 Karththarukkuk kaaththirukkiravarkalo puthuppelanataiththu, kalukukalaippolach settaைkalai atiththu elumpuvaarkal; avarkal otinaalum ilaippataiyaarkal, nadanthaalum sornthupokaarkal. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
