1 Samuel 6 in Tamil

1 கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டி பெலிஸ்தரின் தேசத்தில் ஏழுமாதம் இருந்தது. And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months.

2 பின்பு பெலிஸ்தர் பூஜாசாரிகளையும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் அழைப்பித்து: கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டியைப் பற்றி நாங்கள் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும்? அதை நாங்கள் எவ்விதமாய் அதின் ஸ்தானத்திற்கு அனுப்பிவிடலாம் என்று எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள் என்றார்கள். And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place.

3 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை நீங்கள் அனுப்பினால், அதை வெறுமையாய் அனுப்பாமல், குற்றநிவாரண காணிக்கையை எவ்விதத்திலும் அவருக்குச் செலுத்தவேண்டும்; அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் சொஸ்தமடைகிறதும் அல்லாமல், அவருடைய கை உங்களை விடாதிருந்தமுகாந்தரம் இன்னது என்றும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியவரும் என்றார்கள். And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

4 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: குற்றநிவாரண காணிக்கையாக நாங்கள் அவருக்கு என்னத்தைச் செலுத்தவேண்டுமென்று கேட்டதற்கு, அவர்கள்: உங்களெல்லாருக்கும் உங்கள் அதிபதிகளுக்கும் ஒரே வாதையுண்டானபடியால், பெலிஸ்தருடைய அதிபதிகளின் இலக்கத்திற்குச் சரியாக மூலவியாதியின் சாயலானபடி செய்த ஐந்து பொன் சுரூபங்களும், பொன்னால் செய்த ஐந்து சுண்டெலிகளும் செலுத்தவேண்டும். Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.

5 ஆகையால் உங்கள் மூலவியாதியின் சாயலான சுரூபங்களையும், உங்கள் தேசத்தைக் கெடுத்துப்போட்ட சுண்டெலிகளின் சாயலான சுரூபங்களையும் நீங்கள் உண்டுபண்ணி, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனுக்கு மகிமையைச் செலுத்துங்கள்; அப்பொழுது ஒருவேளை உங்கள் மேலும், உங்கள் தேவர்கள் மேலும், உங்கள் தேசத்தின் மேலும் இறங்கியிருக்கிற அவருடைய கை உங்களை விட்டு விலகும். Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.

6 எகிப்தியரும் பார்வோனும் தங்கள் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தினது போல, நீங்கள் உங்கள் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்துவானேன்? அவர்களை அவர் தீங்காய் வாதித்தபின்பு, ஜனங்களை அவர்கள் அனுப்பிவிட்டதும், அவர்கள் போய் விட்டதும் இல்லையோ? Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?

7 இப்போதும் நீங்கள் ஒரு புதுவண்டில் செய்து, நுகம்பூட்டாதிருக்கிற இரண்டு கறவைப்பசுக்களைப் பிடித்து, அவைகளை வண்டிலிலே கட்டி, அவைகளின் கன்றுக்குட்டிகளை அவைகளுக்குப் பின்னாகப் போகவிடாமல், வீட்டிலே கொண்டு வந்துவிட்டு, Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them:

8 பின்பு கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டியை எடுத்து, அதை வண்டிலின்மேல் வைத்து, நீங்கள் குற்ற நிவாரணகாணிக்கையாக அவருக்குச் செலுத்தும் பொன்னுருப்படிகளை அதின் பக்கத்தில் ஒரு சிறிய பெட்டியிலே வைத்து, அதை அனுப்பிவிடுங்கள். And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go.

9 அப்பொழுது பாருங்கள்; அது தன் எல்லைக்குப் போகிறவழியாய் பெத்ஷிமேசுக்குப் போனால், இந்தப் பெரிய தீங்கை நமக்குச் செய்தவர் அவர்தாமே என்று அறியலாம்; போகாதிருந்தால், அவருடைய கை நம்மைத் தொடாமல், அது தற்செயலாய் நமக்கு நேரிட்டது என்று அறிந்துகொள்ளலாம் என்றார்கள். And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Bethshemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us: it was a chance that happened to us.

11 கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டியையும், பொன்னால் செய்த சுண்டெலிகளும் தங்கள் மூலவியாதியின் சாயலான சுரூபங்களும் வைத்திருக்கிற சிறிய பெட்டியையும், அந்த வண்டிலின்மேல் வைத்தார்கள். And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods.

12 அப்பொழுது அந்தப் பசுக்கள் பெத்ஷிமேசுக்குப் போகிற வழியிலே செவ்வையாய்ப் போய், வலது இடது பக்கமாய் விலகாமல், பெரும்பாதையான நேர்வழியாகக் கூப்பிட்டுக் கொண்டே நடந்தது; பெலிஸ்தரின் அதிபதிகள் பெத்ஷிமேசின் எல்லைமட்டும் அவைகளின் பிறகே போனார்கள். And the kine took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Bethshemesh.

13 பெத்ஷிமேசின் மனுஷர் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே கோதுமை அறுப்பு அறுத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் கண்களை ஏறெடுக்கும்போது, பெட்டியைக் கண்டு, அதைக் கண்டதினால் சந்தோஷப்பட்டார்கள். And they of Bethshemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.

14 அந்த வண்டில் பெத்ஷிமேஸ் ஊரானாகிய யோசுவாவின் வயலில் வந்து, அங்கே நின்றது; அங்கே ஒரு பெரிய கல்லிருந்தது; அப்பொழுது வண்டிலின் மரங்களைப் பிளந்து, பசுக்களைக் கர்த்தருக்குச் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியாகச் செலுத்தினார்கள். And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Bethshemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD.

15 லேவியர் கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டியையும், அதனோடிருந்த பொன்னுருப்படிகளுள்ள சிறிய பெட்டியையும் இறக்கி, அந்தப் பெரிய கல்லின்மேல் வைத்தார்கள்; பெத்ஷிமேசின் மனுஷர், அன்றைய தினம் கர்த்தருக்குச் சர்வாங்க தகனங்களைச் செலுத்திப் பலிகளை இட்டார்கள். And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD.

16 பெலிஸ்தரின் ஐந்து அதிபதிகளும் இவைகளைக்கண்டு, அன்றைய தினம் எக்ரோனுக்குத் திரும்பிப் போனார்கள். And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day.

17 பெலிஸ்தர் குற்றநிவாரணத்திற்காக, கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தின மூலவியாதியின் சாயலான பொன் சுரூபங்களாவன, அஸ்தோத்திற்காக ஒன்று, காசாவுக்காக ஒன்று, அஸ்கலோனுக்காக ஒன்று, காத்துக்காக ஒன்று, எக்ரோனுக்காக ஒன்று, And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;

18 பொன்னால் செய்த சுண்டெலிகளோவென்றால், அரணான பட்டணங்கள் துவக்கி நாட்டிலுள்ள கிராமங்கள்மட்டும், கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டியை வைத்த பெரிய கல் இருக்கிற ஆபேல்மட்டும், ஐந்து அதிபதிகளுக்கும் ஆதீனமாயிருக்கிற பெலிஸ்தருடைய சகல ஊர்களின் இலக்கத்திற்குச் சரியாயிருந்தது. அந்தக் கல் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் பெத்ஷிமேஸ் ஊரானாகிய யோசுவாவின் வயலில் இருக்கிறது. And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.

19 ஆனாலும் பெத்ஷிமேசின் மனுஷர் கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டிக்குள் பார்த்தபடியினால், கர்த்தர் ஜனங்களில் ஐம்பதினாயிரத்து எழுபதுபேரை அடித்தார்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் ஜனங்களைப் பெரிய சங்காரமாக அடித்ததினிமித்தம், ஜனங்கள் துக்கித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.

20 இந்தப் பரிசுத்தமான தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கத்தக்கவன் யார்? பெட்டி நம்மிடத்திலிருந்து யாரிடத்துக்குப் போகும் என்று பெத்ஷிமேசின் மனுஷர் சொல்லி, And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

21 கீரியாத்யாரீமின் குடிகளுக்கு ஆட்களை அனுப்பி: பெலிஸ்தர் கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டியைத் திரும்ப அனுப்பினார்கள்; நீங்கள் வந்து, அதை உங்களிடத்துக்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போங்கள் என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னார்கள். And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjathjearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.

1 Karththarutaiya petti pelistharin thaesaththil aelumaatham irunthathu. And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months.

2 Pinpu pelisthar poojaasaarikalaiyum kurisollukiravarkalaiyum alaippiththu: karththarutaiya pettiyaip patti naangal enna seyyavaenndum? Athai naangal evvithamaay athin sthaanaththirku anuppividalaam entu engalukkuch sollungal entarkal. And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place.

3 Atharku avarkal: isravaelin thaevanutaiya pettiyai neengal anuppinaal, athai veraுmaiyaay anuppaamal, kuttanivaarana kaannikkaiyai evvithaththilum avarukkuch seluththavaenndum; appoluthu neengal sosthamataikirathum allaamal, avarutaiya kai ungalai vidaathirunthamukaantharam innathu entum ungalukkuth theriyavarum entarkal. And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

4 Atharku avarkal: kuttanivaarana kaannikkaiyaaka naangal avarukku ennaththaich seluththavaenndumentu kaettatharku, avarkal: ungalellaarukkum ungal athipathikalukkum orae vaathaiyunndaanapatiyaal, pelistharutaiya athipathikalin ilakkaththirkuch sariyaaka moolaviyaathiyin saayalaanapati seytha ainthu pon suroopangalum, ponnaal seytha ainthu sunndelikalum seluththavaenndum. Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.

5 Aakaiyaal ungal moolaviyaathiyin saayalaana suroopangalaiyum, ungal thaesaththaik keduththuppotta sunndelikalin saayalaana suroopangalaiyum neengal unndupannnni, isravaelin thaevanukku makimaiyaich seluththungal; appoluthu oruvaelai ungal maelum, ungal thaevarkal maelum, ungal thaesaththin maelum irangiyirukkira avarutaiya kai ungalai vittu vilakum. Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.

6 Ekipthiyarum paarvonum thangal iruthayaththaik katinappaduththinathu pola, neengal ungal iruthayaththaik katinappaduththuvaanaen? Avarkalai avar theengaay vaathiththapinpu, janangalai avarkal anuppivittathum, avarkal poy vittathum illaiyo? Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?

7 Ippothum neengal oru puthuvanntil seythu, nukampoottathirukkira iranndu karavaippasukkalaip pitiththu, avaikalai vanntililae katti, avaikalin kantukkuttikalai avaikalukkup pinnaakap pokavidaamal, veettilae konndu vanthuvittu, Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them:

8 Pinpu karththarutaiya pettiyai eduththu, athai vanntilinmael vaiththu, neengal kutta nivaaranakaannikkaiyaaka avarukkuch seluththum ponnuruppatikalai athin pakkaththil oru siriya pettiyilae vaiththu, athai anuppividungal. And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go.

9 Appoluthu paarungal; athu than ellaikkup pokiravaliyaay pethshimaesukkup ponaal, inthap periya theengai namakkuch seythavar avarthaamae entu ariyalaam; pokaathirunthaal, avarutaiya kai nammaith thodaamal, athu tharseyalaay namakku naerittathu entu arinthukollalaam entarkal. And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Bethshemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us: it was a chance that happened to us.

10 Antha manushar appatiyae seythu, iranndu karavaippasukkalaik konndu vanthu, avaikalai vanntililae katti, avaikalin kantukkuttikalai veettilae ataiththuvaiththu, And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:

11 Karththarutaiya pettiyaiyum, ponnaal seytha sunndelikalum thangal moolaviyaathiyin saayalaana suroopangalum vaiththirukkira siriya pettiyaiyum, antha vanntilinmael vaiththaarkal. And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods.

12 Appoluthu anthap pasukkal pethshimaesukkup pokira valiyilae sevvaiyaayp poy, valathu idathu pakkamaay vilakaamal, perumpaathaiyaana naervaliyaakak kooppittuk konntae nadanthathu; pelistharin athipathikal pethshimaesin ellaimattum avaikalin pirakae ponaarkal. And the kine took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Bethshemesh.

13 Pethshimaesin manushar pallaththaakkilae kothumai araுppu araுththukkonntirunthaarkal; avarkal thangal kannkalai aeraெdukkumpothu, pettiyaik kanndu, athaik kanndathinaal santhoshappattarkal. And they of Bethshemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.

14 Antha vanntil pethshimaes ooraanaakiya yosuvaavin vayalil vanthu, angae nintathu; angae oru periya kallirunthathu; appoluthu vanntilin marangalaip pilanthu, pasukkalaik karththarukkuch sarvaangathakanapaliyaakach seluththinaarkal. And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Bethshemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD.

15 Laeviyar karththarutaiya pettiyaiyum, athanotiruntha ponnuruppatikalulla siriya pettiyaiyum irakki, anthap periya kallinmael vaiththaarkal; pethshimaesin manushar, antaiya thinam karththarukkuch sarvaanga thakanangalaich seluththip palikalai ittarkal. And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD.

16 Pelistharin ainthu athipathikalum ivaikalaikkanndu, antaiya thinam ekronukkuth thirumpip ponaarkal. And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day.

17 Pelisthar kuttanivaaranaththirkaaka, karththarukkuch seluththina moolaviyaathiyin saayalaana pon suroopangalaavana, asthoththirkaaka ontu, kaasaavukkaaka ontu, askalonukkaaka ontu, kaaththukkaaka ontu, ekronukkaaka ontu, And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;

18 Ponnaal seytha sunndelikalovental, arannaana pattanangal thuvakki naattilulla kiraamangalmattum, karththarutaiya pettiyai vaiththa periya kal irukkira aapaelmattum, ainthu athipathikalukkum aatheenamaayirukkira pelistharutaiya sakala oorkalin ilakkaththirkuch sariyaayirunthathu. Anthak kal innaalvaraikkum pethshimaes ooraanaakiya yosuvaavin vayalil irukkirathu. And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.

19 Aanaalum pethshimaesin manushar karththarutaiya pettikkul paarththapatiyinaal, Karththar janangalil aimpathinaayiraththu elupathupaerai atiththaar; appoluthu Karththar janangalaip periya sangaaramaaka atiththathinimiththam, janangal thukkiththukkonntirunthaarkal. And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.

20 Inthap Parisuththamaana thaevanaakiya karththarukku munpaaka nirkaththakkavan yaar? Petti nammidaththilirunthu yaaridaththukkup pokum entu pethshimaesin manushar solli, And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

21 Geeriyaathyaareemin kutikalukku aatkalai anuppi: pelisthar karththarutaiya pettiyaith thirumpa anuppinaarkal; neengal vanthu, athai ungalidaththukku eduththukkonndu pongal entu sollachchaொnnaarkal. And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjathjearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.
