Nehemiah 9:16
എങ്കിലും അവരും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും അഹങ്കരിച്ചു ദുശ്ശാഠ്യം കാണിച്ചു, നിന്റെ കല്പനകളെ കേൾക്കാതിരുന്നു.

But they	וְהֵ֥ם	wĕhēm	veh-HAME
and our fathers	וַֽאֲבֹתֵ֖ינוּ	waʾăbōtênû	va-uh-voh-TAY-noo
dealt proudly,	הֵזִ֑ידוּ	hēzîdû	hay-ZEE-doo
and hardened	וַיַּקְשׁוּ֙	wayyaqšû	va-yahk-SHOO
	אֶת	ʾet	et
their necks,	עָרְפָּ֔ם	ʿorpām	ore-PAHM
and hearkened	וְלֹ֥א	wĕlōʾ	veh-LOH
not	שָֽׁמְע֖וּ	šāmĕʿû	sha-meh-OO
to	אֶל	ʾel	el
thy commandments,	מִצְוֹתֶֽיךָ׃	miṣwōtêkā	mee-ts-oh-TAY-ha
