നഹൂം 2:8
നീനെവേ പുരാതനമേ ഒരു ജലാശയംപോലെയായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവർ ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നു: നില്പിൻ, നില്പിൻ! ആരും തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കുന്നില്ലതാനും.

| is of old | כִבְרֵֽכַת | kibrēkat | heev-RAY-haht |
| pool a like | מַ֖יִם | mayim | MA-yeem |
| of water: | מִ֣ימֵי | mîmê | MEE-may |
| yet they | הִ֑יא | hîʾ | hee |
| away. flee shall | וְהֵ֣מָּה | wĕhēmmâ | veh-HAY-ma |
| Stand, | נָסִ֔ים | nāsîm | na-SEEM |
| stand, | עִמְד֥וּ | ʿimdû | eem-DOO |
| none but cry; they shall | עֲמֹ֖דוּ | ʿămōdû | uh-MOH-doo |
| shall look back. | וְאֵ֥ין | wĕʾên | veh-ANE |
