ശൌൽ യിസ്രായേലിൽ രാജത്വം ഏറ്റശേഷം മോവാബ്യർ, അമ്മോന്യർ, എദോമ്യർ, സോബാരാജാക്കന്മാർ, ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള സകലജാതികളോടും യുദ്ധംചെയ്തു; അവൻ ചെന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും ജയംപ്രാപിച്ചു.
