ശമൂവേൽ-1 13:11
നീ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു എന്നു ശമൂവേൽ ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു ശൌൽ: ജനം എന്നെ വിട്ടു ചിതറുന്നു എന്നും നിശ്ചയിച്ച അവധിക്കു നീ എത്തിയില്ല എന്നും ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ മിക്മാസിൽ കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടു:

| done? thou hast | עָשִׂ֑יתָ | ʿāśîtā | ah-SEE-ta |
| And Saul | וַיֹּ֣אמֶר | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-mer |
| said, | שָׁא֡וּל | šāʾûl | sha-OOL |
| Because | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| I saw | רָאִיתִי֩ | rāʾîtiy | ra-ee-TEE |

| the people | נָפַ֨ץ | nāpaṣ | na-FAHTS |
| scattered were | הָעָ֜ם | hāʿām | ha-AM |
| from | מֵֽעָלַ֗י | mēʿālay | may-ah-LAI |
| thou that and me, | וְאַתָּה֙ | wĕʾattāh | veh-ah-TA |
| camest | לֹֽא | lōʾ | loh |
| not | בָ֙אתָ֙ | bāʾtā | VA-TA |
| days the within | לְמוֹעֵ֣ד | lĕmôʿēd | leh-moh-ADE |
| appointed, | הַיָּמִ֔ים | hayyāmîm | ha-ya-MEEM |
| Philistines the that and | וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים | ûpĕlištîm | oo-feh-leesh-TEEM |
| gathered themselves together | נֶֽאֱסָפִ֥ים | neʾĕsāpîm | neh-ay-sa-FEEM |
| at Michmash; | מִכְמָֽשׂ׃ | mikmāś | meek-MAHS |
