Isaiah 5:11
അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു മദ്യം തേടി ഓടുകയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു മത്തരായി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്തു വൈകി ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

| in the morning, | בַבֹּ֖קֶר | babbōqer | va-BOH-ker |
| follow may they that | שֵׁכָ֣ר | šēkār | shay-HAHR |
| strong drink; | יִרְדֹּ֑פוּ | yirdōpû | yeer-DOH-foo |
| that continue | מְאַחֲרֵ֣י | mĕʾaḥărê | meh-ah-huh-RAY |
| night, until | בַנֶּ֔שֶׁף | bannešep | va-NEH-shef |
| till wine | יַ֖יִן | yayin | YA-yeen |
| inflame | יַדְלִיקֵֽם׃ | yadlîqēm | yahd-lee-KAME |
