Isaiah 47
1 ബാബേൽപുത്രിയായ കന്യകേ, ഇറങ്ങി പൊടിയിൽ ഇരിക്ക; കല്ദയപുത്രീ, സിംഹാസനം കൂടാതെ നിലത്തിരിക്ക; നിന്നെ ഇനി തന്വംഗി എന്നും സുഖഭോഗിനി എന്നും വിളിക്കയില്ല.
2 തിരികല്ലു എടുത്തു മാവു പൊടിക്ക; നിന്റെ മൂടുപടം നീക്കുക; വസ്ത്രാന്തം എടുത്തു കുത്തി തുട മറെക്കാതെ നദികളെ കടക്ക.
3 നിന്റെ നഗ്നത അനാവൃതമാകും; നിന്റെ നാണിടം കാണും; ഞാൻ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെയും ആദരിക്കാതെ പ്രതികാരം നടത്തും.
4 ഞങ്ങളുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനോ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ എന്നാകുന്നു അവന്റെ നാമം.
5 കല്ദയപുത്രീ, മിണ്ടാതെയിരിക്ക; ഇരുട്ടത്തു പോക; നിന്നെ ഇനി രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ തമ്പുരാട്ടി എന്നു വിളിക്കയില്ല.
1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.
3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.
4 As for our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.
5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
