Genesis 24:3
ചുറ്റും പാർക്കുന്ന കനാന്യരുടെ കന്യകമാരിൽനിന്നു നീ എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കാതെ,

| by the Lord, | בַּֽיהוָה֙ | bayhwāh | bai-VA |
| God the | אֱלֹהֵ֣י | ʾĕlōhê | ay-loh-HAY |
| of heaven, | הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם | haššāmayim | ha-sha-MA-yeem |
| and the God | וֵֽאלֹהֵ֖י | wēʾlōhê | vay-loh-HAY |
| of the earth, | הָאָ֑רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| that | אֲשֶׁ֨ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| thou shalt not | לֹֽא | lōʾ | loh |
| take | תִקַּ֤ח | tiqqaḥ | tee-KAHK |
| wife a | אִשָּׁה֙ | ʾiššāh | ee-SHA |
| unto my son | לִבְנִ֔י | libnî | leev-NEE |
