ഹോമയാഗം കഴിച്ചുതീർന്നപ്പോൾ യേഹൂ അകമ്പടികളോടും പടനായകന്മാരോടും: അകത്തു കടന്നു അവരെ കൊല്ലുവിൻ; ഒരുത്തനും പുറത്തു പോകരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ അവർ വാളിന്റെ വായ്ത്തലയാൽ അവരെ കൊന്നു; അകമ്പടികളും പടനായകന്മാരും അവരെ പുറത്തു എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു; ബാൽക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു

pass,
וַיְהִ֞יwayhîvai-HEE
end

וַיֹּ֣אמֶרwayyōʾmerva-YOH-mer
said
יֵ֠הוּאyēhûʾYAY-hoo

לָֽרָצִ֨יםlārāṣîmla-ra-TSEEM
captains,

to
and
וְלַשָּֽׁלִשִׁ֜יםwĕlaššālišîmveh-la-sha-lee-SHEEM

in,
בֹּ֤אוּbōʾûBOH-oo
and
slay
הַכּוּם֙hakkûmha-KOOM
none
let
them;
אִ֣ישׁʾîšeesh

אַלʾalal
come
forth.
יֵצֵ֔אyēṣēʾyay-TSAY
And
they
smote
וַיַּכּ֖וּםwayyakkûmva-YA-koom
edge
the
with
them
לְפִיlĕpîleh-FEE
of
the
sword;
חָ֑רֶבḥārebHA-rev
guard
the
and
וַיַּשְׁלִ֗כוּwayyašlikûva-yahsh-LEE-hoo
and
the
captains
הָֽרָצִים֙hārāṣîmha-ra-TSEEM
cast
them
out,
וְהַשָּׁ֣לִשִׁ֔יםwĕhaššālišîmveh-ha-SHA-lee-SHEEM
went
and
וַיֵּֽלְכ֖וּwayyēlĕkûva-yay-leh-HOO
to
עַדʿadad
the
city
עִ֥ירʿîreer
of
the
house
בֵּיתbêtbate
of
Baal.
הַבָּֽעַל׃habbāʿalha-BA-al
