ഹോമയാഗം കഴിച്ചുതീർന്നപ്പോൾ യേഹൂ അകമ്പടികളോടും പടനായകന്മാരോടും: അകത്തു കടന്നു അവരെ കൊല്ലുവിൻ; ഒരുത്തനും പുറത്തു പോകരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ അവർ വാളിന്റെ വായ്ത്തലയാൽ അവരെ കൊന്നു; അകമ്പടികളും പടനായകന്മാരും അവരെ പുറത്തു എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു; ബാൽക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു

אַל ʾal al
come forth. יֵצֵ֔א yāṣāʾ ya-TSA
And they smote וַיַּכּ֖וּם nākâ na-HA
them with the edge לְפִי pe peh
of the sword; חָ֑רֶב ḥereb heh-REV
cast out, וַיַּשְׁלִ֗כוּ šālak sha-LAHK
and the guard הָֽרָצִים֙ rûṣ roots
and the captains וְהַשָּׁ֣לִשִׁ֔ים šālîš sha-LEESH
and went וַיֵּֽלְכ֖וּ hālak ha-LAHK
to עַד ʿad ad
the city עִ֥יר ʿîr eer
of the house בֵּית bayit ba-YEET
of Baal. הַבָּֽעַל׃ baʿal ba-AL
