ὥσπερ as hōsper γὰρ For gar ἡ the ho ἀστραπὴ lightning, astrapē ἡ that ho ἀστράπτουσα lighteneth astraptō ἐκ out of ek τῆς the one ho ὑπ' under hypo οὐρανὸν heaven, ouranos εἰς unto eis τὴν the other ho ὑπ' under hypo οὐρανὸν heaven; ouranos λάμπει shineth lampō οὕτως so houtō ἔσται shall be esomai καὶ also kai ὁ the ho υἱὸς Son huios τοῦ ho ἀνθρώπου of man anthrōpos ἐν in en τῇ ho ἡμέρᾳ day. hēmera αὐτοῦ his autos

πρῶτον first prōton δὲ But de δεῖ must dei αὐτὸν he autos πολλὰ many things, polys παθεῖν suffer paschō καὶ and kai ἀποδοκιμασθῆναι be rejected apodokimazō ἀπὸ of apo τῆς ho γενεᾶς generation. genea ταύτης this houtos

ᾗ that hos δὲ But de ἡμέρᾳ the same day hēmera ἐξῆλθεν went exerchomai Λὼτ Lot lōt ἀπὸ out apo Σοδόμων of Sodom sodoma ἔβρεξεν it rained brechō πῦρ fire pyr καὶ and kai θεῖον brimstone theion ἀπ' from apo οὐρανοῦ heaven, ouranos καὶ and kai ἀπώλεσεν destroyed apollymi ἅπαντας· all. hapas

κατὰ Even kata ταὐτὰ thus tauta ἔσται shall it be esomai ᾗ hos ἡμέρᾳ in the day hēmera ὁ the ho υἱὸς Son huios τοῦ ho ἀνθρώπου of man anthrōpos ἀποκαλύπτεται when is revealed. apokalyptō

ὃς Whosoever hos ἐὰν ean ζητήσῃ shall seek zēteō τὴν ho ψυχὴν life psychē αὐτοῦ his autos σῶσαι to save sōzō ἀπολέσει shall lose apollymi αὐτήν it; autos καὶ and kai ὃς whosoever hos ἐὰν ean ἀπολέσῃ shall lose apollymi αὐτήν his life autos ζῳογονήσει shall preserve zōogoneō αὐτήν· it. autos

λέγω I tell legō ὑμῖν you, hymin ταύτῃ in that houtos τῇ ho νυκτὶ night nyx ἔσονται there shall be esomai δύο two dyo ἐπὶ in epi κλίνης bed; klinē μιᾶς one heis ὁ the ho εἷς one heis παραληφθήσεται, shall be taken, paralambanō καὶ and kai ὁ the ho ἕτερος other heteros ἀφεθήσεται· shall be left. aphiēmi

δύο Two dyo ἔσονται shall be esomai ἀλήθουσαι grinding alēthō ἐπὶ epi τὸ the ho αὐτό together; autos μία one heis παραληφθήσεται, shall be taken, paralambanō καὶ and kai ἡ the ho ἑτέρα other heteros ἀφεθήσεται left. aphiēmi
