18 ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರಲು ದೃಢವಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆಂದು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದಳು.
19 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನವರೆಗೂ ಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವಾಗ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗದ್ದಲವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಇವಳು ನೊವೊ ಮಿಯೋ? ಅಂದರು.
20 ಆಗ ಆಕೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೊವೊಮಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಮಾರಾ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಹು ದುಃಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಸಿದನು.
21 ನಾನು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದೆನು; ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೊವೊಮಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವದೇನು ಅಂದಳು.
18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.
19 So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
21 I went out full, and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?

19 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನವರೆಗೂ ಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವಾಗ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗದ್ದಲವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಇವಳು ನೊವೊ ಮಿಯೋ? ಅಂದರು.
So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
20 ಆಗ ಆಕೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೊವೊಮಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಮಾರಾ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಹು ದುಃಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಸಿದನು.

21 ನಾನು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದೆನು; ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೊವೊಮಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವದೇನು ಅಂದಳು.
