ಆಗ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾ ಗಿಯೂ ಇತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನರು ಕೊಂಚ ವಾಗಿದ್ದರು; ಮನೆಗಳು ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
