ಇದರ ತರುವಾಯ ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸನ್ಹೇ ರೀಬನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡಿರುವ ಅವನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬಲವೂ ಲಾಕೀಷನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀ ಯನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದದವರ ಬಳಿಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳು ಹಿಸಿ--ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸನ್ಹೇರೀಬನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--
