அப்பொழுது அவன் தாயும் அவன் தகப்பனும் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ போய், விருத்தசேதனமில்லாத பெலிஸ்தரிடத்தில் ஒரு பெண்ணைக் கொள்ளவேண்டியதென்ன? உன் சகோதரரின் குமாரத்திகளிலும், எங்கள் ஜனமனைத்திலும் பெண் இல்லையா என்றார்கள். சிம்சோன் தன் தகப்பனை நோக்கி: அவள் என் கண்ணுக்குப் பிரியமானவள், அவளையே எனக்குக் கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்றான்.

அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய தாயும் அவனுடைய தகப்பனும் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ போய், விருத்தசேதனமில்லாத பெலிஸ்தர்களிடத்தில் ஒரு பெண்ணை திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ளவேண்டியதென்ன? உன்னுடைய சகோதரர்களின் மகள்களிலும், எங்கள் மக்கள் அனைவரிலும் பெண் இல்லையா என்றார்கள். சிம்சோன் தன்னுடைய தகப்பனை நோக்கி: அவள் என்னுடைய கண்ணுக்குப் பிரியமானவள், அவளையே திருமணம் செய்துவைக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.

அவனது தந்தையும் தாயும், “இஸ்ரவேலில் உனக்கு திருமணம் செய்வதற்கு நிச்சயமாக ஒரு பெண் வாய்ப்பாள். பெரிஸ்தியரிலிருந்து ஒரு பெண்ணை நீ திருமணம்செய்ய வேண்டுமா? அந்த ஜனங்கள் விருத்தசேதனம் செய்யப்பட்டவர்கள் அல்ல” என்றார்கள். ஆனால் சிம்சோன், “அப்பெண்னை எனக்காக அழைத்து வாருங்கள்! அப்பெண்ணே எனக்கு வேண்டும்!” என்றான்.
