வலதுபாரிசத்தில் வாலிபர் எழும்பி என் கால்களைத் தவறிவிழப்பண்ணி, தங்கள் கேடான வழிகளை எனக்கு நேராக ஆயத்தப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது யோவான் அவரைப் பார்த்து: போதகரே, நம்மைப் பின்பற்றாதவன் ஒருவன் உமது நாமத்தினாலே பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறதைப் பார்த்தோம்; அவன் நம்மைப் பின்பற்றாதவன், எனவே நாங்கள் அவனைத் தடுத்தோம் என்றான்.

பிறகு யோவான் இயேசுவைப் பார்த்து, “போதகரே, உங்கள் பெயரைப் பயன்படுத்தி ஒருவன் பிசாசைத் துரத்திக்கொண்டிருப்பதை நாங்கள் பார்த்தோம். அவன் நம்மைச் சார்ந்தவன் அல்ல. நம்மவர்களில் ஒருவனும் அல்ல. எனவே அவ்வாறு செய்வதை நிறுத்தச் சொன்னோம்” என்றான்.
