ה֥וֹי Woe hôy אֶ֖רֶץ to the land ʾereṣ צִלְצַ֣ל shadowing ṣĕlāṣal כְּנָפָ֑יִם with wings, kānāp אֲשֶׁ֥ר which ʾăšer מֵעֵ֖בֶר beyond ʿēber לְנַֽהֲרֵי the rivers nāhār כֽוּשׁ׃ of Ethiopia: kûš

הַשֹּׁלֵ֨חַ That sendeth šālaḥ בַּיָּ֜ם by the sea, yām צִירִ֗ים ambassadors ṣîr וּבִכְלֵי even in vessels kĕlî גֹמֶא֮ of bulrushes gōmeʾ עַל ʿal פְּנֵי upon pānîm מַיִם֒ the waters, mayim לְכ֣וּ׀ Go, hālak מַלְאָכִ֣ים messengers, mălʾok קַלִּ֗ים ye swift qal אֶל to ʾēl גּוֹי֙ a nation gôy מְמֻשָּׁ֣ךְ scattered māšak וּמוֹרָ֔ט and peeled, môrāṭ אֶל to ʾēl עַ֥ם a people ʿam נוֹרָ֖א terrible yārēʾ מִן from min ה֣וּא their beginning hûʾ וָהָ֑לְאָה hitherto; holʾâ גּ֚וֹי a nation gôy קַו קָ֣ו meted out qǎw qǎw וּמְבוּסָ֔ה and trodden down, mĕbûsâ אֲשֶׁר whose ʾăšer בָּזְא֥וּ have spoiled! bāzāʾ נְהָרִ֖ים the rivers nāhār אַרְצֽוֹ׃ land ʾereṣ

כָּל All kōl יֹשְׁבֵ֥י ye inhabitants yāšab תֵבֵ֖ל of the world, tēbēl וְשֹׁ֣כְנֵי and dwellers šākan אָ֑רֶץ on the earth, ʾereṣ כִּנְשֹׂא ye, when he lifteth up nāśāʾ נֵ֤ס an ensign nēs הָרִים֙ on the mountains; har תִּרְא֔וּ see rāʾâ וְכִתְקֹ֥עַ and when he bloweth tāqaʿ שׁוֹפָ֖ר a trumpet, šôpār תִּשְׁמָֽעוּ׃ hear ye. šāmaʿ

כִּי֩ For kî כֹ֨ה so kō אָמַ֤ר said ʾāmar יְהוָה֙ the Lord yĕhōwâ אֵלַ֔י unto ʾēl אֶשְׁקֳוטָ֖ה me, I will take my rest, šāqaṭ וְאַבִּ֣יטָה and I will consider nābaṭ בִמְכוֹנִ֑י in my dwelling place mākôn כְּחֹ֥ם heat ḥōm צַח֙ like a clear ṣaḥ עֲלֵי upon ʿal א֔וֹר herbs, ʾôr כְּעָ֥ב like a cloud ʿāb טַ֖ל of dew ṭal בְּחֹ֥ם in the heat ḥōm קָצִֽיר׃ of harvest. qāṣîr

כִּֽי For kî לִפְנֵ֤י afore pānîm קָצִיר֙ the harvest, qāṣîr כְּתָם is perfect, tāmam פֶּ֔רַח when the bud peraḥ וּבֹ֥סֶר and the sour grape bōser גֹּמֵ֖ל ripening gāmal יִֽהְיֶ֣ה is hāyâ נִצָּ֑ה in the flower, niṣṣâ וְכָרַ֤ת he shall both cut off kārat הַזַּלְזַלִּים֙ the sprigs zalzal בַּמַּזְמֵר֔וֹת with pruning hooks, mazmērâ וְאֶת ʾēt הַנְּטִישׁ֖וֹת the branches. nĕṭîšâ הֵסִ֥יר and take away sûr הֵתַֽז׃ cut down tāzaz

יֵעָזְב֤וּ They shall be left ʿāzab יַחְדָּו֙ together yaḥad לְעֵ֣יט unto the fowls ʿayiṭ הָרִ֔ים of the mountains, har וּֽלְבֶהֱמַ֖ת and to the beasts bĕhēmâ הָאָ֑רֶץ of the earth: ʾereṣ וְקָ֤ץ shall summer qûṣ עָלָיו֙ upon ʿal הָעַ֔יִט and the fowls ʿayiṭ וְכָל them, and all kōl בֶּהֱמַ֥ת the beasts bĕhēmâ הָאָ֖רֶץ of the earth ʾereṣ עָלָ֥יו upon them. ʿal תֶּחֱרָֽף׃ shall winter ḥārap

בָּעֵת֩ time ʿēt הַהִ֨יא In that hûʾ יֽוּבַל be brought yābal שַׁ֜י shall the present šay לַיהוָ֣ה unto the Lord yĕhōwâ צְבָא֗וֹת of hosts ṣābāʾ עַ֚ם of a people ʿam מְמֻשָּׁ֣ךְ scattered māšak וּמוֹרָ֔ט and peeled, môrāṭ וּמֵעַ֥ם and from a people ʿam נוֹרָ֖א terrible yārēʾ מִן from min ה֣וּא their beginning hûʾ וָהָ֑לְאָה hitherto; holʾâ גּ֣וֹי׀ a nation gôy קַו קָ֣ו meted out qǎw qǎw וּמְבוּסָ֗ה and trodden under foot, mĕbûsâ אֲשֶׁ֨ר whose ʾăšer בָּזְא֤וּ have spoiled, bāzāʾ נְהָרִים֙ the rivers nāhār אַרְצ֔וֹ land ʾereṣ אֶל to ʾēl מְק֛וֹם the place māqôm שֵׁם of the name šēm יְהוָ֥ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ צְבָא֖וֹת of hosts, ṣābāʾ הַר the mount har צִיּֽוֹן׃ Zion. ṣiyyôn
