Zechariah 5
1 मैं ने फिर आंखें उठाईं तो क्या देखा, कि एक लिखा हुआ पत्र उड़ रहा है।
2 दूत ने मुझ से पूछा, तुझे क्या देख पड़ता है? मैं ने कहा, मुझे एक लिखा हुआ पत्र उड़ता हुआ देख पड़ता है, जिस की लम्बाई बीस हाथ और चौड़ाई दस हाथ की है।
3 तब उसने मुझ से कहा, यह वह शाप है जो इस सारे देश पर पड़ने वाला है; क्योंकि जो कोई चोरी करता है, वह उसकी एक ओर लिखे हुए के अनुसार मैल की नाईं निकाल दिया जाएगा; और जो कोई शपथ खाता है, वह उसकी दूसरी ओर लिखे हुए के अनुसार मैल की नाईं निकाल दिया जाएगा।
4 सेनाओं के यहोवा की यही वाणी है, मैं उसको ऐसा चलाऊंगा कि वह चोर के घर में और मेरे नाम की झूठी शपथ खाने वाले के घर में घुस कर ठहरेगा, और उसको लकड़ी और पत्थरों समेत नाश कर देगा॥
5 तब जो दूत मुझ से बातें करता था, उसने बाहर जा कर मुझ से कहा, आंखें उठा कर देख कि वह क्या वस्तु निकली जा रही है?
6 मैं ने पूछा, वह क्या है? उसने कहा? वह वस्तु जो निकली जा रही है वह एक एपा का नाप है। और उसने फिर कहा, सारे देश में लोगों का यही रूप है।
7 फिर मैं ने क्या देखा कि किक्कार भर शीशे का एक बटखरा उठाया जा रहा है, और एक स्त्री है जो एपा के बीच में बैठी है।
8 और दूत ने कहा, इसका अर्थ दुष्टता है। और उसने उस स्त्री को एपा के बीच में दबा दिया, और शीशे के उस बटखरे को ले कर उस से एपा का मुंह ढांप दिया।
9 तब मैं ने आंखें उठाईं, तो क्या देखा कि दो स्त्रियें चली जाती हैं जिन के पंख पवन में फैले हुए हैं, और उनके पंख लगलग के से हैं, और वे एपा को आकाश और पृथ्वी के बीच में उड़ाए लिए जा रही हैं।
10 तब मैं ने उस दूत से जो मुझ से बातें करता था, पूछा, कि वे एपा को कहां लिए जाती हैं?
11 उसने कहा, शिनार देश में लिए जाती हैं कि वहां उसके लिये एक भवन बनाएं; और जब वह तैयार किया जाए, तब वह एपा वहां अपने ही पाए पर खड़ा किया जाएगा॥
1 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.
2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
4 I will bring it forth, saith the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.
6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.
7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.
8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
10 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?
11 And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.
Zechariah 7 in Tamil and English
1 தரியு ராஜா அரசாண்ட நாலாம் வருஷம், கிஸ்லே என்னும் ஒன்பதாம் மாதம், நாலாந்தேதியிலே, சகரியாவுக்குக் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை உண்டாயிற்று.
And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;
2 கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணவும்,
When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regem-melech, and their men, to pray before the Lord,
3 நாங்கள் இத்தனை வருஷம்வரையிலே செய்ததுபோல ஐந்தாம் மாதத்திலே அழுது ஒடுக்கத்திலிருக்கவேண்டுமோ என்று சேனைகளுடைய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்திலிருக்கும் ஆசாரியரிடத்திலும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிடத்திலும் கேட்கவும், சரேத்சேரும் ரெகெம்மெலேகும் அவனுடைய மனுஷரும் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்துக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டார்கள்.
And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the Lord of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
4 அப்பொழுது சேனைகளுடைய கர்த்தரின் வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:
Then came the word of the Lord of hosts unto me, saying,
5 நீ தேசத்தின் எல்லா ஜனத்தோடும் ஆசாரியர்களோடும் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால், நீங்கள் இந்த எழுபது வருஷமாக ஐந்தாம் மாதத்திலும் ஏழாம் மாதத்திலும் உபாவாசம்பண்ணி துக்கங்கொண்டாடினபோது நீங்கள் எனக்கென்றுதானா உபவாசம்பண்ணினீர்கள்.
Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?
6 நீங்கள் புசிக்கிறபோதும் குடிக்கிறபோதும் உங்களுக்கென்றல்லவா புசிக்கிறீர்கள்? உங்களுக்கென்றல்லவா குடிக்கிறீர்கள்?
And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
7 எருசலேமும் அதைச் சுற்றிலுமிருந்த பட்டணங்களும் குடிநிறைந்து சுகமாயிருந்தகாலத்திலும், தெற்குநாடும் சமபூமியும் குடியேறியிருந்த காலத்திலும் முன்னிருந்த தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக்கொண்டு கர்த்தர் கூறின வார்த்தைகள் இவைகள் அல்லவோ என்று சொல் என்றார்.
Should ye not hear the words which the Lord hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
8 பின்பு கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை சகரியாவுக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:
And the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah, saying,
9 சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், நீங்கள் உண்மையாய் நியாயந்தீர்த்து, அவனவன் தன்தன் சகோதரனுக்குத் தயவும் இரக்கமும் செய்து,
Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
10 விதவையையும் திக்கற்ற பிள்ளையையும் பரதேசியையும் சிறுமையானவனையும் ஒடுக்காமலும், உங்களில் ஒருவனும் தன் சகோதரனுக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தன் இருதயத்தில் தீங்கு நினையாமலும் இருங்கள் என்றார்.
And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
11 அவர்களோ கவனிக்க மனதில்லாமல் தங்கள் தோளை முரட்டுத்தனமாய் விலக்கி, கேளாதபடிக்குத் தங்கள்செவிகளை அடைத்துக்கொண்டார்கள்.
But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
12 வேதத்தையும் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஆவியின் மூலமாய் முந்தின தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக்கொண்டு சொல்லியனுப்பின வார்த்தைகளையும் கேளாதபடிக்குத் தங்கள் இருதயத்தை வைராக்கியமாக்கினார்கள்; ஆகையால் மகா கடுங்கோபம் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தரிடத்திலிருந்து உண்டாயிற்று.
Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.
13 ஆதலால் நான் கூப்பிட்டபோது, அவர்கள் எப்படி கேளாமற்போனார்களோ அப்படியே அவர்கள் கூப்பிட்டபோது நானும் கேளாமலிருந்தேனென்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts:
