1 <A Song of the going up. Of David.> Lord, there is no pride in my heart and my eyes are not lifted up; and I have not taken part in great undertakings, or in things over-hard for me.हे यहोवा, न तो मेरा मन गर्व से और न मेरी दृष्टि घमण्ड से भरी है; और जो बातें बड़ी और मेरे लिये अधिक कठिन हैं, उन से मैं काम नहीं रखता।

2 See, I have made my soul calm and quiet, like a child on its mother's breast; my soul is like a child on its mother's breast.निश्चय मैं ने अपने मन को शान्त और चुप कर दिया है, जैसे दूध छुड़ाया हुआ लड़का अपनी मां की गोद में रहता है, वैसे ही दूध छुड़ाए हुए लड़के के समान मेरा मन भी रहता है॥

3 O Israel, have hope in the Lord, from this time and for ever.हे इस्राएल, अब से लेकर सदा सर्वदा यहोवा ही पर आशा लगाए रह!
