Jeremiah 5:22
यहोवा की यह वाणी है, क्या तुम लोग मेरा भय नहीं मानते? क्या तुम मेरे सम्मुख नहीं थरथराते? मैं ने बालू को समुद्र का सिवाना ठहराकर युग युग का ऐसा बान्ध ठहराया कि वह उसे लांघ न सके; और चाहे उसकी लहरें भी उठें, तौभी वे प्रबल न हो सकें, था जब वे गरजें तौभी उसको न लांघ सकें।

| the sand | אֲשֶׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| bound the for | שַׂ֤מְתִּי | śamtî | SAHM-tee |
| of the sea | חוֹל֙ | ḥôl | hole |
| by a perpetual | גְּב֣וּל | gĕbûl | ɡeh-VOOL |
| decree, | לַיָּ֔ם | layyām | la-YAHM |
| that it cannot | חָק | ḥāq | hahk |
| pass | עוֹלָ֖ם | ʿôlām | oh-LAHM |
| waves the though and it: | וְלֹ֣א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| thereof toss themselves, | יַעַבְרֶ֑נְהוּ | yaʿabrenhû | ya-av-REN-hoo |
| not they can yet | וַיִּֽתְגָּעֲשׁוּ֙ | wayyitĕggāʿăšû | va-yee-teh-ɡa-uh-SHOO |
| prevail; | וְלֹ֣א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| though they roar, | יוּכָ֔לוּ | yûkālû | yoo-HA-loo |
| not they can yet | וְהָמ֥וּ | wĕhāmû | veh-ha-MOO |
| pass over | גַלָּ֖יו | gallāyw | ɡa-LAV |
