और यहूदा के एर, ओनान, शेला, पेरेस, और जेरह नाम पुत्र हुए तो थे; पर एर और ओनान कनान देश में मर गए थे। और पेरेस के पुत्र, हेस्त्रोन और हामूल थे।

அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு: இன்று எனக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடு என்றான்; அவன் யாக்கோபுக்கு ஆணையிட்டு, தன் பிறப்புரிமையை அவனுக்கு விற்றுப்போட்டான்.
