Genesis 46:12
અને યહૂદાના પુત્રો: એર, ઓનાન, શેલાહ, પેરેસ, અને ઝેરાહ. પરંતુ એર અને ઓનાન તો કનાનમાં જ અવસાન પામ્યા હતા. પેરેસના પુત્રો: હેસરોન અને હામૂલ.

| but Er | וַיָּ֨מָת | wayyāmot | va-YA-mote |
| Onan and | עֵ֤ר | ʿēr | are |
| died | וְאוֹנָן֙ | wĕʾônān | veh-oh-NAHN |
| in the land | בְּאֶ֣רֶץ | bĕʾereṣ | beh-EH-rets |
| of Canaan. | כְּנַ֔עַן | kĕnaʿan | keh-NA-an |
