Deuteronomy 20:12
परन्तु यदि वे तुझ से सन्धि न करें, परन्तु तुझ से लड़ना चाहें, तो तू उस नगर को घेर लेना;

| peace no make will it | לֹ֤א | lōʾ | loh |
| תַשְׁלִים֙ | tašlîm | tahsh-LEEM | |
| with | עִמָּ֔ךְ | ʿimmāk | ee-MAHK |
| make will but thee, | וְעָֽשְׂתָ֥ה | wĕʿāśĕtâ | veh-ah-seh-TA |
| war | עִמְּךָ֖ | ʿimmĕkā | ee-meh-HA |
| against | מִלְחָמָ֑ה | milḥāmâ | meel-ha-MA |
| besiege shalt thou then thee, | וְצַרְתָּ֖ | wĕṣartā | veh-tsahr-TA |
| עָלֶֽיהָ׃ | ʿālêhā | ah-LAY-ha |
