Psalm 1
1 માણસ કે પાપી સલાહ પ્રમાણે ચાલવા નથી ધન્ય છે.
2 યહોવાના નિયમશાસ્ત્રથી તેઓ આનંદ માણે છે, રાત દિવસ યહોવાનાં વચનોનું જે મનન કરે છે; અને યહોવામય જીવન જીવવાં વિચાર્યા કરે છે,
3 તેઓ નદી કિનારે રોપાયેલાં વૃક્ષો જેવા છે, એ વૃક્ષો ઋતુ પ્રમાણે ઉત્તમ ફળો આપે છે; તેઓનાં પાંદડા કદી કરમાતાં નથી. તેઓ જે કાઇ કામ કરે છે, તેમાં સફળ થાય છે .
4 પણ દુષ્ટો એવા નથી હોતા, તેઓની વાત જુદી છે. તેઓ ખરેખર પવનમાં ઉડતાં ફોતરાં જેવા છે.
5 તેથી દુષ્ટો ન્યાયાસન આગળ ટકશે નહિ; ન્યાયીઓની સભામાં પાપીઓ ઊભા રહી શકશે નહિ.
6 યહોવા ન્યાયીઓની સંભાળ રાખે છે; પરંતુ તે દુષ્ટ લોકોનો વિનાશ કરે છે.
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
