Joshua 17:1
મનાશ્શા યૂસફનો જ્યેષ્ઠ પુત્ર હતો તેથી તેના કુળસમૂહને પણ પ્રદેશનો ભાગ આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો. ગિલયાદનો પિતા માંખીર મનાશ્શાનો જ્યેષ્ઠ પુત્ર હતો જે યોદ્ધો હતો. તેથી ગિલયાદ અને બાશાનના પ્રાંતો તેને ફાળવવામાં આવ્યા હતા.
